Boutique hotel in Majori, center of Jurmala. Opened in 2008. Total hotel has 7 design rooms. The building reflects the tendencies of contemporary architecture and charmingly fits into the landscape of Jurmala. One can see from the hotel the sun rising over the river and hear the pines rustling in the seaside dunes. A lovely place to stay
Reviewed By Nadezda MWe liked this hotel a lot! Location is perfect - close to the train station and the city centre. Interior is lovely and our room was very modern, not big, but comfortable. There is a small beautifully decorated restaurant and a nice rooftop terrace. There are many choices of breakfast. The lady in the reception is very nice and helpful and the owners' dogs are so cute :)

Reviewed By RuudKokDecent rooms for a nice price. Hotel is a 30 minute walk from the old city center. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Beds were okay, rooms had airconditioning, which was quite handy as the heating in the bathroom couldn’t be put down.

Short break
Reviewed By Fran RWe came here on a short budget break and this hotel came in under our budget, it seemed to be mainly occupied by contractors. It's situated outside the old town so we had decided to use the trams out the back of the hotel to commute in. However we could not decipher the Latvian on the tram sign so used taxis instead. We downloaded the BOLT app and found the service very cheap and quick. We had a room on the ground floor just down from reception, it contained a double and a single bed. TV on the wall a table with 2 chairs, wardrobe and bedside tables. The mattresses where a bit on the hard side and the double bed had 2 single duvets. The ensuite had a hip bath with shower over, the water was always hot and the shower powerful. The rooms and the hotel were very clean though the front steps were starting to crumble the facade on the whole looked tidy. Outside was two undercover areas for smokers and just behind the reception/shop was a kitchenette for guests use. The hotel staff were friendly and booked a taxi for us on the first day as we were struggling with the app. Not much English was spoken but we don't speak any Latvian so can't complain. Close by were 2 restaurants no more than 6 minutes walk from the hotel and a Maxima supermarket the same distance which came in handy. When you leave the hotel to sight see there is a basket at reception where you leave your room key.

Reviewed By Miglė TPorto Marine is located in a very beautiful place close to Lielupe river not far away from the sea.Few friends have stayed in there two years ago, so recomended it as wonderful destination to visit with friends. However, this time few misunderstandings appeared. First of all, at the arrival time guy from reception was eating, therefore we were asked to wait. Later he showed us a place explaining everything in maximum 7 words, as he got a call. Didn't explain to us that wood that was in our area is forbiden to use. Later came blaming us that we used it and telling us that we will be fined. This guy was a bit rude during our stay regarding many questions. Additionally, I think they should renew the place. We reserved a huge closed corner for a big company with 4 little houses, as it was the only available for 8 people company, however we didn't have any toilet or shower in there, every time needed to go to the public ones. So just in case you consider to stay there ask all the questions prior reservation to be sure that your expectations will be met. As they have multiple different houses and many different choices.

Unreliable hotel
Reviewed By SANPOLOGood day! We made a reservation to stay a full month from april to may at the apartment room second building. Before signing the contract, we got a message, that management decided to cancel our stay, because we have an baby with us, and no additional comments were provided. Not only you ruined people plans, but also got unreliability for the guests. Dear visitors, think twice, before you plan your stay here.

Reviewed By Erikas PSlept there for 3 nights. Room was very clean, comfortable, had private parking lot. Personnel also was very helpful. Rooms have air condinioting, hotel is near to sea, about 400 m. Really enjoyed staying, recommended. Reasonable price for what you can get. Rooms have safes for your valuables, the entrance is secured with magnetic cards, calm place to stay in. Overall, thinking about ordering this place for upcoming year

Reviewed By Владислав АThe Entrance to the hotel was a bit confusing at first. Once I have entered the receptionist name of ‘Inga” have been welcoming and helpful to find where everything is located. The room it’s self was big and spacious with nice comfortable bed for this price i can’t complain.

Reviewed By vestbamMy room was very small, the bed even smaller. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything. Stayed 2 nights, no cleaning tho. Location is okey, easy access to public transportation. But no shops or coffee shops around. Reception men were kind. The hotel is okey only for short stay.

Spare Hotel is a small, quiet hotel in Pardaugava, next to Jurmala highway and not far from a center of Riga. It will take only 10 minutes drive to get to the most beautiful places of city - to Old Riga.You could get to the Riga International Airport from us only in 5 minutes at any time of day if You drive with Your personal car or take a taxi.You could get to us also with a public transport from Riga Train Station. The bus number 8 will take You to us approximately in 15 - 20 minutes.Our hotel is suitable for both business persons, individual travelers and families, therefore here are various rooms: 7 single rooms (SGL), 3 double rooms with two separate beds (TWIN) and 5 double Superior rooms with one double bed and sofa. Four of Superior rooms are located in garret floor. Our aim is to take care of Your rest, which will be undisturbed and calm. All rooms have a shower or a bath, WC, TV and adjustable heating. You could use wireless Internet (WI-FI) without extra charge. There is a free parking lot near the hotel for our quests.In the same complex with a hotel are located also a cafe and a bar "Seoul", which offers Korean, Japanese and European cuisine, and a bowling alley "Spare".

The receptionist spoke No English. Dirty hotel needs a complete renovation al the walls need painting carpets replaced. 2 out of the 4 lights in the bathroom where out. look's absolutley nothing like the pictures on booking.com cheap and old furniture falling to peices needed replacing years ago. towels dirty/stained and worn. need replacing. Breakfast was rubbish it was all served at your table so you couldnt go for more juice coffee etc. The hotel did not get me gluten free bread in as i requested. probably because the owner of the hotel cant read English. or latvian for that mater as i translated my message. There where more ants at breakfast than humans, there was only myself and my dad in the breakfast room (i wonder why?). when we mentioned the ants the owner/ receptionist gestured that the ants where there because of the plants. I mean its not rocket science is it get rid of the darn plants! There are several steps to the reception so not suitable for disabled guests not that you would want to stay here anyway. The "hotel" looks like it has not been touched since the soviet era. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
