Reviewed By amannarinoPretty good hotel in a well located position. We spend just a weekend but it fits perfectly our needs. It has an excellent breakfast, parking and the staff is very polite and careful. We got a family room (2 adt + 2 chd) that worked fine.

Reviewed By Demetr7Pousada located in great remote location surrounded by Atlantic forest at 1000m altitude with stunning views over the hills of the National parks. We got an upgraded room with jacuzzi in the main building. Stuff is friendly and attentive, they speak English and will help you with your questions. Serra dos Orgaos National park is just 12km/20min driving from the pousada. Some people write comments that place is outdated but we noticed that staff work hard on the maintenance and cleaning so it’s sufficiently cared pousada although water in pools was somewhat not enough transparent so we didn’t give it a try :) Would rate as 5 but 1 star is taken away by somehow disappointing restaurant - very limited and a bit expensive menu vs. quality provided. Chief cook was not flexible and we were not allowed to replace side dishes (e.g. to serve potatoes instead of rice etc.) - definitely area to improve. Breakfast is complete and tasty (although juices were diluted). All in all good and comfortable stay. I would recommend this place to enjoy the nature and relax after busy Rio.

A nice hotel in a nice city
Reviewed By Theo MIt does not look much from the outside, but going in I had the feeling that I stepped in to a hotel in Austria or Bavaria. A lot of wood(work) on the floors and walls. Rooms where clean, comfortable, shower and breakfast where OK. They speak English at the reception. The hotel is at the square adjacent to the bus station (Rodoviaria centro).

Reviewed By Raphaela_BRI book a room with a jacuzzi, the only difference between my room and a cheaper one was the jacuzzi. The first thing I did when I checked in was to try to have a bubble bath, but the Jacuzzi was not working, I called the front desk and they send someone to look at it and fix it, but the person couldn’t fix anything. They asked me to wait and they sent someone else 1 hour later, that person could not fix the jacuzzi either and said only next day they could try something else. I tried to have a shower, but it was veeery hot or veeeery cold, again I called the front desk and they sent someone, but he couldn’t fix it either. I had a very cold shower and went to bed. The next day I was informed that the jacuzzi and the shower were broken beyond repair anda thet they didn't have any other room. I took a shower in the pool area that day. The next day I checked out and asked for a discount, since I couldn’t enjoy much, but they said no. Since I had already paid before I got there, there was nothing I could do besides complain. I could have been an incredible experience since the hotel is gorgeous, breakfast is amazing, the pool is decent, but it wasn’t.

Reviewed By Vinicius CThe Atelier is really beautiful. Cozy, like a farm (for most who like this kind of environment). Stayed at the attachment standard room (called master) with a nice space, bathroom, a balcony and park space. Don't try this one cuz the wifi connection doesn't work. If you are traveling on business it will be a thing. And the breakfast it's awful: not much of a diversity of things like breads, fruits or something else. If you like eggs you need find someone to make it. Imagine bacon.

Reviewed By wwpalmerMy wife and I stayed for four nights in August 2020. The pleasantly-landscaped hotel is located about a 15 minute drive from the commercial center of Itaipava. Our room was large with a high ceiling and double French doors that opened onto a small courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom large, although a bit dated. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had no room cleaning service during our stay. The large restaurant looks out over the property, including a small lake and the swimming pool. Breakfast was plentiful and good. We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening and enjoyed the food. The wait staff in the restaurant were always pleasant and friendly. Due to the pandemic, we could not use the pool, sauna, hot tubs, or exercise room, either. In normal times, all these activities would be available, as well as a fairly well-maintained clay tennis court. Since we were using the hotel mainly as a jumping off point for seeing various things around Itaipava and Petropolis, it worked fine for us. One room tip: make sure you get one with a veranda facing the front lawn area.
