Reviewed By Saipem16A great stay here, had stopped by a few weeks ago for a "plat du jour" which was excellent , really a gastronomic delight. Decided to book a room over the weekend demi pension. Room fine with balcony and valley views, evening set meal again a gastronomic experience, bravo to the chef. Breakfast fine and must say all the staff very professional and welcoming. Will definitely stay again when visiting. Well done all...!!

Reviewed By Carol CThis hotel is fantastic. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The pool area is fabulous, and the hospitality is fantastic. The breakfast and evening meals were outstanding. We loved it so much that we extended our stay an extra 2 nights. A little gem in a lovely location.

Un hôtel insolite, écologique et haut de gamme sous forme de hyttes (habitations individuelles) scandinaves sur les hauteurs du petit village alsacien de Breitenbach. A l’intérieur des hyttes réparties en pleine nature, place à l’élégance du bois et la sobriété nordique. Certaines disposent d’espace bien-être avec sauna et jacuzzi ouverts sur le paysage.

You can easily go on hikes walking from the hotel, or from a few miles away if you want to explore further. Lots of hikes accessible for all levels. It's also a good area if you want to explore wine tasting Rooms: simple but luxurious at the same time, with huge windows looking to the outside. Scandinavia inspired with a lot of wood. We had a jacuzzi attached to our house which felt like an extra treat. every house also comes with a small outside space where you can look to the valley Food: incredible. we came during Covid so everything was brought to our room. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Only local and organic products are used. Would also highly recommend getting a drink before dinner on the restaurant terrace. Welcome/hosts: this might be the best part but the hosts are incredibly friendly. A young couple embarked on this adventure and are happy to tell you about how they conceived the hotel and all the plans they have for the future. They are trying to build a local community around the hotel, have an organic local market every Sunday, etc... Spa: you can also get massages on premise Really no negatives in my mind, we had a wonderful stay.

Excellent Hotel
Reviewed By findmefst1We booked this hotel through a flyer for 5 nights including dinner. Our room was very spacious well decorated and extremely clean. We had a balcony but we were on the backside of the hotel so we really didn’t have a view but it didn’t matter to us because we were out and about all day. The rooms on the front side have an excellent view of the castle at the top of the mountain. The hotel staff speaks French, Germany and English so it wasn’t hard to communicate with them. Dinner was a 4 course meal with large portions. The only drawback that someone might have is they only have the one 4 course Menü. It didn’t matter to us because everything they served was excellent. We couldn’t have eaten any better anywhere else. By the time dinner was over we were stuffed and satisfied. We will definitely be back to stay here. There is not much in the town but there are towns nearby to enjoy.

Beautiful accommodations...very clean and interesting decor. The house/hotel has an interesting history and it is a very short drive to Colmar! The owner Bertram was a wonderful host. The two hosts were fabulous, the property beautiful and our room full of character and romantic charm. We were welcomed upon arrival with a glass of bubbles in the small, but pretty courtyard, having been dazzled by the decor of our room and magnificent view from the window. The breakfast was also of a very good standard and kitchen amenities plentiful. Highly recommended as a base for champagne tasting in the area

Reviewed By Christian CPerfect location at the top (or bottom?) of Avenue de Champagne in Epernay. Close to pretty much everything you might want to do in town. It's not a huge chain hotel, and doesn't have a large number of rooms. We had two rooms, on separate floors, which suited us fine. The rooms were large enough for two persons with (small) suitcases. Clean and comfy. One room had a safe, the other didn't, not sure if this was a coincidence, but I'm sure it could be discussed with the staff if needed. Wasn't an issue for us. We had dinner in the evening. Mainly a tapas-based menu, which was perfectly fine. The portions were large and filling, and went well with a bottle of Champagne. Breakfast was good. Very bread-based, but with high quality bread. Not a huge selection as in larger resort hotels, but what they had was high quality, and definitely enough to fill anyone up, and there was something for everyone. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were called on the day of arrival. There is a gap in the afternoon when the reception isn't staffed. We weren't aware of this, but since they called and informed us we could plan accordingly. It's understandable, since it's a small establishment. The hotel has a collaboration with a Champagne house down the road - A. Bergere - definitely worth a visit as well. Definitely recommended for a few days' stay in Epernay.
