Super clean room, friendly service, beachfront and super service

I booked the accommodation through booking.com. five minutes before arriving. The check-in was seamless, I called the front desk and was shown the entrance to the private parking. I got help with my luggage. The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom and a comfortable double bed. It was equipped with shelves and clothes rack, providing travellers all they need. Wifi was very stable and breakfast was good. At the common area, free coffee and tea are provided. I find the common area good for solo travellers to mingle with other travellers.

The staff were very helpful and gave us complimentary Prosecco as it was our honeymoon. We had to find last minute accommodation and found La Vista Lodge online. After 24 hours of travelling and an 8pm arrival, Amos greeted us, carried our bags, and made us very welcome. Rooms are huge and comfortable and the sea view out of this world. Breakfast on the deck was delicious and staff attentive and helpful. Did not give it five stars as the bathroom could do with a little updating - but still clean and effective. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Plettenberg Bay.

Superb place but.........

Reviewed By GeoffRuthHudds

The three of us had a wonderful apartment with a wrap around balcony giving wonderful views of the lagoon. The day time weather was excellent but evenings were bitter cold and the apartment had no heating. The country is having daily power cuts and candles had been provided. However there were no matches or torches. We called the owner who seemed to have given the matter little thought. She did ask the maid to bring in matches and an oil filled radiator which helped for our 2nd night. It is such a pity that our memories of this wonderful place include being cold and the owner not really caring.
