Reviewed By robynbitnerMy husband and I had an amazing time on our honeymoon staying at Gungaporanga Hotel. Absolutely no complaints. The staff were very friendly, polite and proactive. Super helpful and welcoming! The food was absolutely amazing (I would definitely recommend the risotto with shrimp, coconut and mango). The room was very clean and the view of the lagoon and ocean was breathtaking. Very close to to the beach (Praia do Gunga and Barra de São Miguel) with lots of tours to do in the area. An amazing experience 10/10.

Reviewed By vanelicThe staff was superfriendly and I felt like at home. Excellent location to explore nearby beaches. Good choice for breakfast. Overall very good value for money. BUT... Bed matress was extremely hard and even after putting three thick blankets under the bedsheet it was not comfortable and it was difficult to have a good sleep. Aircon was working but insufficient in the heat of summer. Slow wifi.

Reviewed By Gavin RThis was a nice hotel to arrive to. Check in was organised And efficient. The gardens are very pretty and well looked after. The pool is a good size. Every room has it's own hammock outside the door which is very comfortable. The room was big. Clean. Beds comfortable. Air conditioner good and shower excellent. Breakfast is average though.

Reviewed By Thiago CThis hotel, due to a not large number of rooms, feels very cozy, like a small villa. When you check-in, they ask which drinks you want, and bring them up to your minifridge already. From there it's a quick walk to the beach, and you're at the huge stretch of sand leading up to the crowded parts on the right side, with the day trips to Gunga beach, etc. My suggestion to make this place even nicer is that they should partner up, or at least get some contacts for day trips. Otherwise you'll have to find them out for yourself, which is just a hassle when you want the convenience of a few options to start with. That means, you'll have to walk some 15-20 minutes (or more) to the crowded touristic area and ask around by yourself. The hotel also got a pizzeria on the ground floor, and the pizza is delicious there. Good for those days when you come back from a long walk or a lazy day in the sun and forgot to drop by any small market to buy snacks.
