Cabo Pino beach is excellent as they have a super boardwalk behind the ruins that runs forever. Nice to run on!

We travelled here by bus. Get off at the train station and walk back through the many shops. Also, plenty of eating places as well as bars to relax. Enjoy...

The beach has beautiful sand--tiny, rounded rocks that you sink your feet into and let the ocean massage. Like a spa in the sun. And good foot showers so you can clean off and not track the sand into your car. Ummmm.

Playa El Salon

Reviewed By TreasuresOfTraveling - Raleigh, United States

El Salón Beach is one of Nerja’s larger beaches with over 200 meters of sand and surf. This beach generally won’t be extremely overcrowded as there is only one way to get to the beach and the access road can be difficult to find so it can be a nice quiet place to relax and listen to the crashing waves of the Mediterranean Sea.

What a fantastic time of year to visit for flora, fauna and wild life. I saw bunnies, bees, birds and lizards without leaving the path. The boardwalk crosses the dunes behind Cabopino/Artola ‘Nudista playa’ so be prepared for the occasional distant view of a nudist popping up in ‘Meerkat’ fashion to get an all over tan!
