Some really great snorkeling here on either side of the beach. Not very crowded on a Friday. Tasty food at the top of the beach, just be prepared to wait about 10 minutes but worth it!

Wonderful and pretty beach, some shade and drinks available. Sea is quite rough and the currents are strong - however when you are in - it is lovely - the whole beach was quite crowded yet still plenty of personal space - Would I go back there - Oh Yes! It was Beautiful and we loved it!

Parking is close to the beach. There were a few boats on the ocean. There are trees, even the palm trees. Swimming in the ocean was perfect! The beach was light brown. There are some rocks as well. What a great day! Worthwhile to see!

This is the Caribbean beach I dream about when the weather turns cold back home. Toasty soft sand, gentle lapping waves, plenty of shade around the edge provided by palms and other trees, and a number of terrific restaurants in all price ranges ringing the parking area. The water is shallow enough to accommodate children (with supervision) and one has to wade out quite far to reach deep water. There are no life guards and occasionally we felt a strong undertow, so you should exercise good judgment when you go swimming. The beach is long enough to accommodate people who want to fit in a good walk.

Facilities for parking are limited , so earlier is better . Grreat beach and one of only a few on Basse Terre that is sandy , the majority are rocky.

When I saw the beach, I saw the many boats on the ocean. Some rented a small boat for fun, others swam for fun. The palm trees were beautiful! The beach was brown. There were a lot of people. A good sign of being a great beach! Worthwhile to see!
