Der Freisitz Zwickledt befindet sich hoch über dem Inn in der Gemeinde Wernstein. Es ist ein kompakter schlossähnlicher Baukörper, dem an der Rückseite ein Wirtschaftstrakt angeschlossen ist. Umgeben ist er von einem kleinen Park mit altem Baumbestand und einem kleinen Teich. Seit dem Jahr 2000 stellt die Landesgalerie Linz in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gemeinde Wernstein, dem Kunstverein Passau und dem Kulturverein Landstrich ein jährliches Ausstellungsprogramm zusammen. Mittels ca. sechs Ausstellungen jährlich wird an diesem speziellen Ort versucht, dem Phänomen der Zeichnung und der Faszination Alfred Kubins nachzuspüren. Jeder Partner konzipiert und organisiert dazu pro Jahr ein bis zwei Ausstellungen.
