March 15, 2022 Enedina Augsburger

San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

Started here before going to Old Town. The old original houses (1880-1890s) were moved here to this park and are a beautiful example of the early architecture of San Diego. Each house is totally different to the next & beautifully preserved, and has a description of its history. One house is open to the public, as a gift shop & tea rooms. The Jewish Synagogue is open & today is used by all religious faiths for weddings etc. Well worth a visit to this beautiful park.

WOW! I lived in San Diego for 11 years and never knew of this gem. So beautiful and how nice that it has been preserved. We happen to be walking by and saw the sign so my husband & I decided to seek further. Beautifully restored home with much history, great tour, beautiful gardens. One can just imagine what life may have been like back in the day....on $15.00 for the tour which helps to maintain the home, so worth it. Please visit and take the tour, you will not be disappointed.

Dating from 1915 when it was established for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, it is beautiful in a Neo-Renaissance style. Down the decades it has hosted many roles. Today a well-regarded theatre is one of the institutions within.

The Headquarters at Seaport

Reviewed By 377donnaw - San Diego, United States

The Headquarters at Seaport used to be Downtown Police Headquarters...you can even look at some old police items and history. The fun is the food. Delicious and interesting dishes are served at the restaurants here. Sure, go over to Seaport village but when you get hungry and ready for a cocktail, walk across the street and enjoy.
