Small, family owned restaurant in Friendswood, Texas. We were greeted by our server, Peter, who looked really sharp and professional; very pleasant and kind to us during our entire visit. The owner, Joseph Trama, came to greet us and had a special surprise for us that evening, which turned out to be excellent. A gentleman sang us two songs in Italian, one about Mom's and than Solo Mia!! A wide variety of food choices, Peter suggested Chicken Da Vinci which was superb!!

Angelo's Pizza & Pasta

Reviewed By Arthur G

Having been quite a while since last dining at Angelo's, we tried it again this weekend with a group of friends and were very pleased with the food and service. They serve traditional and wood-fired pizza, which are very good but a bit pricey for this area, and a variety of pasta dishes similar to those found in almost any Italian restaurant. The meat sauce for the pasta is one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant, and the pasta was excellent except that it was a bit overcooked, thus no five-star rating which might otherwise have been the case. The chicken parmigiana was also very good, but the chicken was a bit overcooked as well. Amazingly, and disappointingly, there was not a single veal dish on the menu. That, in turn, would have been enough to drop to a three-star rating. Those who had the tomato basil soup all praised it, but I didn't try it personally. The salads were routine like most restaurants versions. A big hit with all of us were the warm rolls. I've never had better. None of us had a dessert. The food portions bordered on enormous; several of us took plenty home. The service was outstanding, vigilant and thoughtful. With all the specialty restaurant competition in the general NASA area, any hoping to succeed must offer something better than the rest, and Angelo's does it quite well. All things considered, it was a very good experience and we will dine there again.

Have gone for both breakfast and dessert. They are a counter type restaurant where you order at the counter and than pay and they will bring the food to your table. For breakfast they serve traditional type of breakfast and than crepes, there were no pancakes or waffles on their menu, but there is plenty to choose from. My husband ordered an omelet and I got the crepe with scrabble egg. Both were very good, and you can also get sliced bread and jelly at the counter after you pick up your drinks. Their jelly is very good. The desserts are wonderful and lots to choose from. It is nice on a evening to go in and get one and a cup of their coffee and sit by the fire in the main dining room and relax. Will go back and recommend.

Carrabba's Italian Grill

Reviewed By Wadester2u

With this Carrabba's falling victim to takeover by the Bloomin' Brands corporation a few years ago, the food and service have fallen way down the wayside compared to the days of the Carrabba's Family ownership of the restaurant. The former homemade pastas, canneloni, rosemary potatoes, and homemade soups have all disappeared and been replaced with trucked-in, pre-made ingredients that leave very little to the imagination or palate. Prices have gone up, and portion sizes have been cut in half. Likewise, the bar drinks and wines have all increased significantly in price, while portions and quality of the drinks have declined. The atmosphere used to be homey, romantic and comfy. But sound barriers have been removed, and the ambiance now resembles that of a loud cafeteria. There are much better, family-owned Italian restaurants in the area.

Maggiano's Little Italy

Reviewed By BillyPilgrim615

I was needing some comfort and variety, so I stopped into a new restaurant and got some Italian food - at Maggiano's Little Italy in Baybrook Mall, Suite G120, 700 Baybrook Mall, Friendswood, TX 77546. If Trip Advisor publishes my review, I'll upload some photos. Maggiano's sits along a promenade in the newest section of this large mall, looking out on 'The Lawn,' a flat expanse of artificial turf where folks gather for outside movies, projected on warm (non-stormy) evenings of first and third Tuesdays from June through October. The restaurant also has an al fresco sheltered area facing the Lawn; but on this early evening in late August, Houston was a bit too steamy for dining outside.I was courteously greeted and immediately seated by a hostess, and my waiter Eric appeared promptly with a glass of ice water and the drink and dinner menus. The waitstaff was heavily or exclusively male, dressed in black with dark red ties. Eric (also the GM's name here) was a pro--courteous, observant, knowledgeable, low-key; he resembled a less neurotic Leslie Howard, the British actor who played Ashley Wilkes in the classic film 'Gone With the Wind.' Maggiano's has a sizable lounge with bar and floor seating, and a large open dining area with raised booths around the walls and a floor of tables with red-and-white checked tablecloths flanked by black lacquered wooden chairs. Pix of these areas will be among my uploads. The menu accommodates couples and families and gluten-intolerant diners. The thoughtful hostess left me a 'tasting card' to record my experiences with the wine list. A long table to my right was serving an extended family of about 20, celebrating someone's birthday with joy and gusto. The overall ambience was pleasant, casual, and welcoming in both the dining and lounge areas. Maggiano's reviews here range from 'awful' to 'wonderful'--probably appropriately. I had a very pleasant experience. Several chunks of good bread, served with olive oil and herbs, helped me settle on a 'Moscato Mojito' cocktail and the low-cal version of Maggiano's Chicken Marsala (less than 700 calories, and delicious). The mojito cocktail and the mushrooms garnishing the chicken dish were the stars of this meal, but every element was savory and well-prepared. The marsala sauce was excellent; the chicken was tender, and the fettucine base, which saved me ~ 500 calories by replacing spaghetti aglia oglio, was just right as well. This was my first visit - solo, early on a Monday evening. Scanning among the dozens of reviews, it's clear that timing, choice of foods, and luck in the waitstaff draw have a lot to do with how well you'll enjoy Maggiano's. I had a trifecta on these factors, and a very pleasant (and comforting) experience. I'll be back, and I hope to see you there.

We come here on a regular basis. A lot of people not far from here don’t know this place exists. Personally, I’d like to keep it that way.Everything I’ve had here has always been good. Their food is consistent from one visit to the next. Service is always good. Their bread and dipping sauce is excellent, but be warned, it can be very filling. The hell stressing on the hill salad is really different, and I love it. There tomato basil soup is off the chart. My general go to use here are the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken in there lasagna. Both are always consistent and delicious. My wife usually gets the Mike and Jen. Today I tried to jalapeño fettuccine with chicken. Also very good and pictures added. We will be back soon

We went for pizza at Dan’s and the pizza was very good. For less than $10 you can get a “small” 10-inch 2-topping pizza in either hand-tossed or thin crust. Topping were very generous. The pizza was so large I could eat only half of it. I brought the rest home. The cheese sticks were excellent and the sauce is homemade. The food came out piping hot. You have to go early if you want to eat there as the dining area is small and is full by 6:00pm and you have to wait. They have carry out and have special offers to use both dining in or taking out. Prices are very reasonable. You can also order salads, sandwiches, pasta and wings.

Grazia Italian Kitchen

Grazia Italian Kitchen was founded on the ideals that fresh is the only way to enjoy food. We serve authentic Italian cuisine, and Wood Fired Pizza.

Walked into Grazia on a Friday night, got a table, but we were seated in the absolute back corner of the place, almost felt isolated. Our waitress was sassy, fun, and good about making recommendations - shout out to Aisha! We ordered a lobster appetizer (off menu special), tasty indeed, but much to my surprise it cost more than the ribeye I ordered for a meal...wish I would have known that before I ordered. The ribeye was good, but way too much fat on and around it. I would say at least a good fourth of the cut was nothing but fat. The whipped potatoes, delicious, and the Sangarita - easy to get tipsy off one. Overall we enjoyed the meal, but I've had better steaks.
