I was traveling in the Newport area when a business associate recommended Andy's for lunch. We arrived late, about 1:30 pm, and the lunch crowd was gone. The pork chops were recommended and were ordered with mashed potatoes and green beans. Our server, Joann, brought our food in short order and catered to our every need. The pork chops (2 nice sized) had been rubbed with what appeared to be a dry rub and grilled to perfection and served with a tasty dipping sauce. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were homemade and could have used some gravy. The green beans were not canned and could have been frozen, but did not taste so. Portions were moderate in size, with the exception of the pork chops. Each meal was a bargain at $7.00 each. All in all a mouth watering and pleasurable dinning experience.

Baby Steaks are Filet Tips that I cut with a fork. Soup was a little tasteless, but edible. Salads appeared to be pre-made and were a little brown around the edges. Very casual atmosphere. Thanks for the feedback Peter...the filet tips are very good (I actually have a video a customer sent me of him cutting those 'baby steaks' with a fork)... I'm curious about which soup you had so that I might sample it and see what's up. We had switched to iceberg lettuce recently and it will brown if cut, so we instruct them to break or tear...looks like someone tried to cut some corners.

My wife and I needed something to eat before a movie and decided to have lunch at Sagebrush. The lunch special for the day was chicken fried steak so we each had that, which came with mashed potatoes and one side. Their special side dish was fried green tomatoes but for some reason it was a $1.99 up charge so we went with green beans. She started us off with tolls while we waited. Two nice sized steaks and a decent mound of potatoes, and a large pile of beans. Very tasty though I found the gravy too salty. Excellent value. A handful of craft beers on tap. WiFi.
