Buon Appetito isn't fancy from the outside but they've got great basic Italian sandwiches, pizza and pasta at pretty reasonable prices for Tamarindo and super friendly service. Massimo is the man that runs the cafe and is super friendly and happy to help sort out the menu. We ordered a variety of things. The smoothie was good and we ended up with pizza, pasta, a sandwich, and a salad among the four of us and all were good. Most of their salads can be ordered in sandwich form and vice versa. We ate in but they did a steady take out business too while we were there. Plenty of vegetarian options and the pomodoro sauce was particularly good.It's not a white tablecloth kind of place but the food is good and they seem very happy to have the business and to chat with the tourists who pop in. Very affordable compared to the rest of the Tamarindo dining scene.

Pizza was good and prices were very reasonable. Locations for pay off the beaten path but not too far from the main strip. This was recommended and we tried it and enjoyed it. However I would not be in area with little children after 7:30 PM as this trip becomes more of a youth crowd.

We went there 3 times during our two week stay. Unanimous choice for our group of two couples. The staff are very good. The menu is large and sometimes hard to choose which to have. Fresh snapper with leaks and cream, pasta dishes, gnocchi gorgonzola all delicious. Nice red wines. Made it to dessert only once, gelato was very good.Very good, will return. Reservations if larger group for sure.

Great owners and Great pizza. The new location is open air and very clean. We eat in one night and did a picked up order to take to the house. Service was outstanding and the owners made us feel extra special.

Trust me, being a foodie from Los Angeles has afforded me the opportunity to enjoy many great eats from around the world. Although, I have not traveled to Italy, I imagine that Enea's is a part of Italy that has miraculously transported itself to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. This hidden gem is off of the main strip and wonderfully so. You get to enjoy some of the best homemade food in the seclusion of a private, quiet, and quaint tropical setting... not to mention, great service! I can't say enough about this place. This is our fourth trip to Costa Rica, and each trip we have to visit Antichi Sapori at least once. The restaurant provides a taste of authentic Sicilian cuisine along with many options to accommodate food restrictions such as vegetarian and gluten-free options. Along with this, Antichi Sapori has amazing and friendly service. By far our favorite pizza in Costa Rica. The menu has a wonderful variety and the desserts are out of this world.

Our family had a wonderful evening here! Marco immediately made us feel welcomed and entertained. We ordered 3 pizzas to share and my husband went inside the little shop to select a wine. With guidance from Marco, we enjoyed a spectacular bottle of red. The pizzas were perfect as was the fresh bread with oil. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu, based on seeing the rave reviews in this app. It was truly incredible and I donât usually like tiramisu. Highly recommend this magical place!

We came here twice on our visit to Avellanas. The food here rivals most Italian restaurants in Toronto, and even most restaurants weâve been to in Italy. Itâs safe to say that my Nonna would approve. This is not your typical tourist Italian restaurant trying to make you food that feels like home. This is authentic hand made pasta the way you would experience it in Italy. This is 100% a restaurant you must try and enjoy every bite of.

Excellent pizza with fresh ingredients. I ordered "the star" which was actually more like a calzone (they filled dough with the cheese and toppings) with each point in the star with a different topping. Everyone in our family if 5 loved their food (two of our kids shared a pizza), and I wish we had a longer stay in this area to go there again.

Very cool atmosphere with first rate food.The staff was amazing, Carmenere very nice and the food was lovely (pizzas, carpaccio, bruschetta were all very tasty and filling).The staff treated us to a passion fruit liqueur that was the perfect cap to a great evening.Highly recommended place to spend an evening and have a wonderful meal.thank you to share your experience! was a pleasure to have you here with us, we hope to see you soon
