We visited the Anvil for dinner recently. The chicken wings, as others have said, are really good. They’re up there with Tribeca’s wings in my opinion for taste. I had chicken supreme for mains which was nice but not amazing and my wife had a pizza which she liked. We ordered a side of chips which were tasty. I did think the food was overpriced for what it was. For example we passed on desserts as they were so expensive. Furthermore, we arrived at 5pm and were told there was no pâté left which seemed strange. The waiter told us the soup was mushroom but then a different soup was put up on the chalkboard and we overheard the table beside being told that this was the soup of the day. A minor complaint but again when they are charging these prices, expectations are a little higher. We enjoyed our meal but I’m not sure I would be rushing back.

I've eaten in this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. The choice is good and the quality is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Good value for money. Good menu choice for mid range priced dining. Portions are a generous size. Restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The staff were very friendly and informative. Our host Jack was very pleasant.
A lovely nice surprise was they have a SlimmingWorld menu with all dishes and their individual Syns. Wow this alone will bring me back
Other dinners seemed to be enjoying groupon voucher meals with good value for families advertised too.
They also had nice gin and cocktails promotions
Happy to recommend to others
We will return too

Was looking for a place to watch the football as was in my mates house in Tallaght . We walked here . GOT served very quickly think it was €5.20 for a pint . It has a lively atmosphere . I got a carvery which was a burger and gravy and potatoes. I asked for an extra plain burger (not in a bun ) and they charged me in I think it was 5euro for it . Was disappointed. But as for the match seem it clearly on the big screen . Will definetly go hers again

Myself and my partner really enjoyed the food here. We both started with garlic bread, it was simple but tasty. I had the salmon as my main which was delicious. It came with vegetables and baby potatoes which had a lovely bbq taste. My partner had a burger and chips which he thought was lovely. The chips were chunky and fresh looking. Both portion sizes were great. Staff were lovely and the restaurant is lovely inside.

Dimly lit restaurant. We ate upstairs as private party on downstairs. Pleasant staff. Food presentation good but found meals not very hot both temperature and spice wise.Cocktail presentation good too though didn't appear to have much alcohol in them. Tallaght in need of better restaurants.

I do hope more folks review this establishment in the future as it deserves to be much higher on TripAdvisor's list! Perhaps the staff will start recommending posts on here!
The ambiance is lovely in here, really unique and it stands out as very boutique among some cliched and ugly dining options around it.
The Kitchen was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed the marinated chicken and my wife had the venison curry sausage. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and incredibly flavorful. We had not one bad thing to say about either!
The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was among the best desserts I have ever had. I was ashamed at how quickly I downed it.
We cannot wait to return here upon our next visit to Dublin!

I always enjoy the food here. Staff are friendly and they are particularly good with kids. Their honey ribs are the best I've had anywhere and I've enjoyed all dishes that I've tasted.
I find them a little pricey though so usually only eat here on the early bird. The quality is reflected in the price however so this is not really a complaint.
