Since my last review the restaurant has been renewd and reopend under new managment. It's now a pizzeria with quite some italian flair, still good pizzas from the woodoven and some good italian food apart from pizzas. Like to go there for just an evening beer or a full dinner - it's always nice and with a friendly staff. Hope it stays like that.

There are two main aspects of my positive feedback.The first one is kindness and professionalism of people working in the pizzeria. The fact that they speek italian is a very valuable add on.The second one is quality of pizza.Believe me, it's extremely difficult to make an (southern) italian happy with pizza when he travels abroad. Well, pizza is wonderful!They use original italian ingredients, and that makes pizzas like they could be in Italy.My suggestion. if you go to Bern, this is a very good place where to have the real neapolitan pizza.

The is not the best italian. This sea food pasta had fake crab meat, which is crazy!Salad was good! Service good, but not much English. Won't return.

We love the restaurant. My mother often wants to celebrate her birthday in the restaurant. So we have been there many times. And the food and service was always very good. The pizze might be the best in town, a ten minutes walk away from the center in the lively quarter called "Länggasse".

...with pasta dishes that were both very filling and excellent tasting, as was the fresh caprese appetizer we started with. Friendly service, and a short walk from our Hotel Schweizerhof.We arrived early for dinner without a reservation and were seated immediately, but the tables filled quickly afterwards.A good choice for us.

Walking into Azzurro, you feel that you must have come here in another life because you're greeted with warmth and sincerity offered only to dear friends. Plus, the food did not disappoint!! Whatever you order you can be assured that it will be fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared. While here for a business lunch, I felt like I wanted to order a bottle of wine and just keep eating all the way through dinner. Definitely a place that is a Must Go!

This is mostly an Asian restaurant, but we were here at lunch time and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Located at the far end of old town, just before the bridge to the bears. We ate outside at a communal long table, but it was not very busy. I had a very large salad with tuna (canned variety), and partner had minestrone soup and Asian shrimp dumplings. I was alone and quite early (18h) and the waiter came quickly, was smily and nice.I didn't wait to much and the risotto was tasty, well cooked and exactly what I needed.

Was pleasantly surprised by the value for money of this restaurant. Two of us ate here for under CHF 60 which is unusal for Switzerland! I had a vegetarian pizza which was very tasty and the base was thin and crispy and not soggy. Additionally, they were very accomodating with my dietary requirements. My husband had a pleasant surprise when he found 4 Indian set menus to choose from as well as the Italian options. So he went for the chicken curry menu which came with rice, raita, poppadum, pickle and some lentils, and he ordered a naan on the side too. We had two bottles of sparkling water as well. The Indian food was a little bland but that's not surprising when comparing to other Indian restaurants in the locality (the spice seems to be toned down for the local palate). The restaurant was clean and my husband went to wash his hands after eating and said the men's toilets were very clean too. The only slight criticism was that service was very slow as they had just one waiter for the first part of the evening (he was joined later by another) but more walk-ins than they would usually expect. It didn't bother us because we weren't in a hurry, but if you were, it may have been slightly annoying. However, we would definitely still go back there again. A nice little neighbourhood restaurant.

Wir waren zu viert zum Abendessen im la Rocca und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Guter Salat zur Vorspeise bzw danach die Pizza waren sehr gut. Meine Frau und Kollegen hatten überbackende Mellanzane und diese schmeckten ebenso. Dazu offenen Wein und als Apero ein Bier..alles gut, ebenso der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Für mich war einzig die Atmosphäre im Gästerraum sehr kühl, nüchtern und nicht gemütlich daher vier von fünf Punkten.
