Reviewed By ChristineT2568I stayed here for almost a week. Good location. The room was cozy except for the fact that I could hear the rooms next door air conditioner every time it was turned on. Kinda frustrating as I enjoyed having my back door open for fresh air. It was noisy. My room was right next to the lobby. It’s nice that the hotel has so much space to relax and gather, but this became frustrating for me as I could hear most groups talking at all hours of the day/night. I was also right next to the restaurant seating. The tv in this area was often turned way up in the morning at 6 am. And I could hear people dining and their conversations. I wasn’t real impressed with their buffet breakfast that was included in the high room rates. They served mostly white carbs drenched in oil. Fried rice, fried noodles, French toast. They did have fresh fruit, which I made sure to get enough of. But the buffet breakfast was usually very greasy and low quality food. As Sumbawa does not participate with Gojek or Grab, there is no food delivery. And there is no food within walking distance, so I had to rely on the hotel restaurant which had good food, just a bit pricey. The hotel has drivers and car rental, but I found my own tour as the hotel’s was a bit expensive as well.

We requested for a single bed, they said they would do but we ended up with twin bed being pushed together at different height. 2. The breakfast was terrible, no taste, no staff on standby. They did not have most of what they wrote in the menu. 3. The hotel is dirty and old, there were crumbs came down from the ceiling everyday, the towels were filthy. 4. The shower and the toilet flush didn't work, we have informed the staff TWICE but no one ever came to check, let alone fixing it. Toilet could not handle solid waste at all. Shower was clogged. 5. No hook or rack that we could hang or put towels or clothes. 6. There was NO hot water, satellite TV, WIFI though they were all advertised as the booking package. 7. NO outlets in the entire room or bathroom, there was only one lightbulb in the center of the room. 8. The POOL WATER was GREEN and full of trash, you can't even see the bottom of the pool. Photos attached here. They never clean the pool. All kids in the village play in the pool everyday, no privacy for the guest. We complained to the staff, he said it's local culture (really??) 9. There was no security, anyone could enter the premises at anytime. 10. We requested other room but it was even worse. 11. There was blood smears on the wall. 12. We extended 2 days since we were expecting them to fix it all as they promised but nothing. We left the hotel and found no staff at the front office for check out. We came again the next morning to check out but still no staff in front office. We left and they only realized the day after. We paid and they charged us the same price, even after all the downgraded facilities. There are many other hotels nearby, much cheaper and cleaner, and beachfront too. This hotel not willing to run the business and respect the guest, DO NOT stay here!

Little piece of paradise
Reviewed By alliecnWhales and Waves is a little piece of paradise. Off the beaten track for sure but well worth the journey. Right on the beach, bungalows are set amongst the palm trees surrounded by grass with a fence to keep the children in. We had the most spectacular sunsets with goats and buffalos trotting along in front of the resort. Bungalows were perfect for a family of 4 with separate room and a common area. Denis and Yuli and the whole team were wonderful. Definitely recommend a visit.

Not stay, only came everyday for their food
Reviewed By k3vinkmWe stay next door, but we came here every meal hour, since they offered much more variable menus with reasonable price. Place is super clean, the food is extra yummy, the staff is very friendly. The manager is is Bli Wira is super friendly and we had a nice conversation with him. We saw the room, and it looks very comfy too. Beach in front of the hotel is super awesome.

Reviewed By fathya bNice place, nice view, very serenity and calming with friendly staff. The place is very big, there’s so much spot to explore. But you have to be prepare for all kind insects. Overall it’s really nice to stay here? Oh when we went there, the resto is temporary closed. Hopefully it will be open again soon.

Reviewed By Tour620118We spent 3 nights in this fantastic hotel. The food was amazing, the manager Aji and his team were wonderful. We went also diving with them on Gili Banta. We saw beautiful Mantas and the diving team was really professional. I warmly recommend this place and I will definitely come back.

Reviewed By 326caitlinbScar Reef resort was more than I expected! It ended up being a top highlight during my time in Indonesia. The resort, location and property are incredible! You are in immersed in nature with an almost private beach just steps from your room, that also has incredible surfing! The owners are amazing and their love for this space, their staff and surf can be felt and that authenticity is in everything you experience while being their guest. Highly recommend!
