The food doesn't worth the price, and the service was very disappointing. You know itâs a good sign when almost all of the reviews are in Portuguese, as this is a local favorite. This is a âby the kiloâ restaurant with the option to also add grilled meats. Food was excellent; service was attentive, but not overbearing. Lunch for two (including beer, soda, steak, buffet, dessert) was around $25 USD. Best restaurant visited over our 3 day visit to the area, and an excellent value. Strongly recommended.

âWow! My fellow Americans who are in Brazil, don't miss the special surprise waiting for you in the town of Campos do Jordao. I was working in Brazil, spending the weekend in the wonderful town of Campos do Jordao in the mountains, and the bigest surprise was to find Art's Real Texas BBQ at La Florida. It was like eating in a Texas BBQ restaurant. The ribs are fantastic, the chicken and beef are wonderful, BBQ sauce and sides - coleslaw and potato salad too - are what you expect in Texas. How do they do this in Brazil? Don't miss this place. La Florida has a wonderful view of the forests, very inviting and cozy, very nicely landscaped. I could not have found something nicer to spend my Sunday. It was really wonderful.
