This is kind of a 3.5 star review, because the food wasn't as good as some of the other nearby 4-star places, but aside from some minor complaints (lukewarm rice, ok-but-not great fries) we had a tasty grilled salmon (good crust, a little overcooked inside). Service is efficient. The beach view is probably great in daylight; we ate well after sunset and missed it.

The mini hamburgers are amazing! Me and my partner had the meat and fish ones to share. They are surprisingly chunky and in hindsight we probably would have shared one plate of four mini hamburgers (the meat ones were the best!) with a side of chips. Only negative was the IPA was quite disappointing.

The people in Rancho da Canoa seems to be ready to be fun and they have fun doing very well what they do: food. Oyster were great, muqueca excellent, beer as must be and attention and friendship of the guys there cannot be better. Recommended.

We came here on a rainy day. Wasn't much going on around the beach but this place was open so we thought to give it a crack. Had a nice seafood stew, though not as special as other reviews would suggest. However the dessert was terrible - a cream of papaya (which was hardly noticeable) with a lot of blackcurrant liquor making a weird goo. All in all was not worth a trip up north.Pedimos desculpa pelo ocorrido e pedimos que voltem em uma próxima visita para que possam tirar esta impressão.

I found this restaurante through Trip Advisor and guess what? It is amazing!!! The "sequencia de camarao" (shrimps cooked in three different ways plus fish fried and some side dishes) is absolutely yummy!!! The price is like any other seafood restaurant and they have car parking. And the service is great plus the waterfront view! You should try!!!

I am a little perplexed by all of the 5 blobs reviews. The staff were very friendly so they get 5 blobs, but the food was only OK. So many bones in the salmon that I couldn't eat it, everything else just a bit bland.Hello, We're sorry you did not enjoy your experience with us. And I speak in experience, because that is what we propose to do, in the most affectionate way possible. We respect food, for us there is no mediocre food. We have seen that you are a traveler's lover, and make evaluations of renowned restaurants. Our proposal is to be a simple restaurant, with honest food, at the right price. We hope that you can always be interested in proposing the places you go to, that you can relax and enjoy your moment. Pimples on fish are as normal as a bone in a T-bone, or cartilage on a lobster.
