After eating here for the 6th time, I finally got to writing a review. The restaurant is on the main road, but is tucked behind a beautiful garden. I've tried everything on the menu, minus the Fejoada on Saturdays and ordering the pig special (feeds 6+, which requires 48hrs prep time, so call ahead). Everything I have had has been good. I do not recommend ordering drinks here. Instead, order a bottle of wine or champagne. They do have some good cachacas available, but just drink them straight. I need to mention that the service is very slow. VERY SLOW. Which wouldn't be so bad if you had drinks served promptly. I'll be back again because the food is good and I do want to try her fejoada, as well as the whole pig.

BanalaLand is a refined kilo restaurant, with imaginative salads, dishes and desserts. One often is surprised by the variety and quality of the alternatives. A very interesting characteristic is the calm and instructive explanation/description one gets from the staff about the available dishes before making the choices.

You can easily pass right in front of this place without noticing it, cause despite its location on Rua das Pedras, the main comercial street of Buzios, the restaurant has a narrow and very discreet entrance. There's no one trying to catch you on the street also, differently of the most other places. But once inside, you'll be pleased with its great atmosphere, cordial service and the bonus of the bay view. It has the vibe of old French tradition, in a good way, of course. A third visit to Juanito says a lot for this little gem situated in the Porto do Barra area of Manguinhos just ten minutes from downtown Buzios. The chef comes with top credentials having grilled steaks and other impeccable goodies at Cheval Blanc for many years until it's untimely demise. Service is always excellent and rearranging the tables for our party was no problem.The menu has a Spanish flavor to it with an excellent tapas selection and other "petiscos", ButI go there for the steak though I am reliably informed that the fish (Cherne) is superbly cooked as are all the pasta dishes. The meat is Argentinian, perfectly cooked to order and undeniably succulent! But not cheap - a huge hunk of prime rib is not for the timid, it is enormous and so is the price - aboutUSD50!The wine list is excellent but there are no bargains here. A moderately good Malbec set us back about USD40, though most of us drank the excellent local (well, sort of) beer, Therezopolis! An excellent, though hard to find Brazilian brew.There are a host of "to die for" deserts, that the chef has been doing for years. A great favorite of mine is the Mango Flambe (done with Cointreau!).It's predominantly outside dining and the atmosphere is quiet and laid back, at least on the occasions we have visited, Well worth searching out!

Anexo Praia is in Barra and is a great place to have a sunset cocktail and chill by the sea....Nice outdoor style setting - feet in the sand - with wi-fi and lounge music...attentive waiters as well. I have only eaten here a couple of times - seared tuna with mushrooms was good but mushrooms were too salty...sliders are a good pick. This is the place I would head for sunset then go for dinner in one of the many good restaurants in Barra....

The perfect place for something simple. It is like a corner bar selling juices and sandwiches but a great one. The portions are generous, the sandwiches delicious, prices are reasonable and the service's supa friendly. Fresh fruits, tasty caipirinhas. It's the perfect street bar.

Ao chegarmos à Praia de Geribá, encontramos a Manu oferecendo os serviços da Barraca, dizendo que disponibilizavam cadeiras e guarda-sol sem custo e sem necessidade de consumação (caso rarÃssimo em Buzios)! Nos acomodamos e nesse dia acabamos almoçando(R$85 p/dois) file de peixe frito, arroz, salada e fritas, comida farta, saborosa e preço justo! Voltamos todos os outros dias e provamos os petiscos maravilhosos, com destaque para o bolinho de feijoada, de bacalhau e o camarão crocante, caipivodca deliciosa (R$16) e cervejas de R$ 6 a R$9. Atendimento cortês e atencioso de todos, sem exceção! Recomendo muitÃssimo!
