The name says it all! Luiza's is only known for it's amazing grilled prawns - which are cooked (grilled) in a 'secret' marinade and served without the shell (thank goodness!). We were a group of 24 people and 18 of us ordered the highly recommended grilled prawns (for which Luiza's is famous for). We placed our orders one hour in advance and took to the nearby beach for a swim whilst we waited for our delicious meal to be prepared. Portions are single servings and are plentiful (ie: approximately 10-12 medium sized prawns per person - all for approx $15 - $20 Reis!). The restaurant is (literally) in the middle of nowhere. It is located approximately 1.5 hours out of Barrerinhas, and accessible by 4WD (4x4) only. Typically, you would only come here whilst going out to the Atins sand dunes.

The place is very simple but very pleasant. The setting is perfect surrunded by dunes, river and ocean. Service is a bit slow as it should be. You are there to enjoy the place, the views, the breeze, the nice owners and specially the food. The superb schrimps! Unbeatable! Why hurry? I am proud of my cooking and I envied Luzia by her schrimps, the bests i ever had.

Clean restaurant, smiling service, good choices for crabs, fish and shrimps.Prices are aligned with other restaurants of the same category.We went there with some fiends: casquinha de Siri very good, grilled shrimps more or less, shrimp in sauce too spicy.A good option in Atins but there are other better restaurants

Also known as Antonio´s Restaurant this is famous for the secret recipe of grilled shrimps. And indeed the grilled shrimps will not dissapoint you. And the price won´t too (90 Rs for 2 including rice, beans and farofa). What is definitely a huge improvement the owner has to consider is the service. I had to call 3 times one of the guys serving us in order for him to take and bring our order. So almost 0 service offered!

We felt very welcome by the young and friendly restaurant staff. We ordered a fish bites appetizer - that was so well-served that was enough for 2 people having a lunch. The restaurant is simple but charming with a view to the sea, lots of small tents with wooden "tables" and some hammocks for the customers to rest after lunch.

The restaurant "A Canoa", which means "The canoe", is located in the port, on the edge of the "Preguiças" river, downtown of the city.The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere that combines a lot with the city of "Barreirinhas".The waiters are attentive and polite.The food is excellent.I highlight here the shrimp in the pineapple. It's delicious!We ordered the shrimp on the pineapple for two. In the first half came a creamy shrimp and in the second half a creamy rice (kind of risotto), both covered with gratin cheese. The dish was well presented and very, very tasty!In the evening the restaurant uses the structure of the jetty, putting outdoor tables.Right next door there is a local handicraft gallery that completes the visit.

Located in the "downtown", in front of the little port, is one of the 3 or 4 restaurants in the city. Like the others this is also expensive like Sao Paulo restaurant. So this is the reason of the evaluation. Like others also here the mania of dishes that are for 2 persons. Means someone else should share with you the dishes if he like. So be prepared to spend 100 reais for appetizer and main dish. Of course you will find also sushi but we dont tried. If find absurd going in Brazil, in this city to eat sushi!!! The local dishes are very good. Thanks for the visit!

The restaurant belongs to the pousada Encantes do Nordeste, where we stayed and which is great. Is on the riverside , very well located and all planned perfectly, in contradiction with the surrounding facilities. Very tasty food and friendly stuff! Relaxing hammocks and a big garden to spend time after lunch/ dinner! Highly recommended!

We had the 'chiclete com camarão' plate. It was delicious and full of delicious shrimp and chease. The owner was reallly nice and made a very good reception. At the end, he gave my a daughter a scoop of ice cream, on the house.
