Salzburg center is 35 minutes away by bus Breakfast very basic grocery items but they serve boiled eggs and coffee, nesspreso, tea Very suitable for children, they gave us baby crib and high chair at the breakfast table. Plenty of barking space for free Be aware, there's no elevator Only complaint is that they only accept cash. I wish they would take credit cards.

Great location - friendly hotel

The hotel was clean and traditional in the original building and stylish and modern in the new building, which we had breakfast in a couple of mornings. Breakfast was excellent and so was the restaurant we used on the first night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great location for the eagles nest, Untersberg, Salzburg, Lake Königssee and the salt mines nearby. Fantastic views all around. Plenty parking. Great place to stay.

wintersport with the family and friends
Reviewed By fam Hfor another week we stayed in the apartment of Ewald just across the street of Zur Einkehr. As usual it was cleaned nicely. The hospitality of Ewald was great again. The kids were able to have their own table in the restaurant while we were having a drink with our friends. This year it was more crowded than other years, so I think business is going well. The schnitzels were still huge, but for the kids there always is Goofy… small schnitzel for kids. Drinks are still really affordable and good. Service is great and waiting time is short. Final conclusion: price versus value is five stars again. Kids are happy too, the wifi is good!

Für die Kleinen gibt es einen schönen Kinderspielraum.

Reviewed By tom mSehr gemütliches Hotel in den Bergen mit toller Lage gleich vis-a-vis der Bergbahn. Die jungen Chef Leute und das gesamte Team sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen und Frühstücksbuffet ist top und regional. Die Zimmer sind sauber und wir hatten einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Berge ⛰?. Haben direkt vom Hotel viele Almen und Hütten besuchen können. Die Sauna konnten wir auch genießen. Einfach ein herrlicher und entspannender Urlaub. Auch der verpflichtende Covid Test alle 2 Tage an der Rezeption ging unkompliziert und rasch ?. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Reviewed By ANNIE GChambre spacieuse et confortable (manque juste une étagère supplémentaire dans la penderie et dans la salle de bains pour ranger les affaires) avec une vue magnifique sur les sommets encore enneigés. J'ai beaucoup apprécié la cuisine simple mais goûteuse du restaurant (hum, les herbes du jardin !) ; le petit déjeuner est copieux avec charcuterie, fromage, pains variés, fruits.

Reviewed By 040ClemensSehr freundliche Gastgeber und eine ausgezeichnete Unterkunft für Schneesportler. Besonders praktisch ist der Ski-Keller, in dem man auch die Schuhe trocknen kann. Das täglich wechselnde Menü hat uns jeden Abend aufs neue die Sprache verschlagen, ein absolutes Highlight der Halbpension. Die Gaststube ist gemütlich und urig, hier kann man den Abend super ausklingen lassen. Die Zimmer sind renoviert und verfügen über eine Dusche+Waschbecken. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich und der Blick morgens vom Balkon auf die Berge ein Traum. Eine bessere Unterkunft hätten wir uns nicht wünschen können! Vielen Dank und hoffentlich bis bald.

Skiing Break in the Pitztal!
Reviewed By Joshua OGaestehaus Schranz is a traditional Austrian pension located in the small hamlet of Eggenstall, Sankt Leonhard im Pitztal, Austria. The pension benefits from an ideal location; the bus stops for travel to the Glacier and Rifflsee ski areas, as well as the Hochzeiger resort (in Jerzens), are right outside the property. The accommodation is made up of double (Doppelzimmer) or three person (Dreibettzimmer) rooms, all of which are complete with cable TV, WC/Shower and balcony. Although old-fashioned in terms of décor, the rooms are comfortable, clean and perfectly adequate. The rooms are offered on a bed and breakfast or half board basis* and the food was excellent and plentiful. There is a small wellness/relaxation area located in the basement of the property. The sauna was excellent and there is also an infra-red cabin, loungers and a shower. The ski storage room has a heated boot rack which comes in handy. The owners of the property (Frau/ Herr Schranz) are very friendly and always aiming to please. Most of our dealings were with Frau Schranz, who speaks very little English. However, some German will go a long way to helping make your stay more pleasant (this goes for holidays in this valley in general). She was always very pleased to speak to us and make sure that we were happy. She even prepared breakfast for us slightly earlier than usual on our day of departure due to an early transfer. Wifi is available as a payable extra (€5,00 for 3 days usage) but the signal was weak in the room itself. On the balcony and in the basement of the guest house, the wifi signal was markedly better. All in all, despite a few shortcomings, this property represents an excellent price-quality relationship and, if you have reasonable expectations, you will not be disappointed. *Half board is taken in the "Hotel Haid", right next door to the property and the food is wonderful (well worth the extra)
