Reviewed By Chx89Very comfortable hotel room. Very clean and nice bed. Bathroom was a little small and could do with an upgrade - but overall a positive experience! Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. Access to the beach made a really lovely stay! Great beach hotel :)

Reviewed By GeoTrunkThe rooms are not the best layout: It is hard to get around due to the tightness and the handwash in the bathroom is too small. But They are clean and everything works well. The restaurant is excellent - although They need to upgrade their selection of beers? Breakfast is OK. Ask for a rooms not facing the stream if you want to avoid truck noice during the night.

Parking is outdoor. + Comfortable bed mattresses and pillows + Own newly renovated bathroom + Nice location on a hill - Additional charge for breakfast buffet - ~ 20 min walk to restaurants - Occasionally unattended reception

Motel Ebeltoft is a newly opened motel with all the facilities you can desire. Situated only 8 kilometers from Aarhus airport and only 8 kilometers from the ferry to Sealand. It is as central as can be. All rooms are well equipped and free wireless internet available for all guests. Ebeltoft is a wonderful little city with sandy beaches, many attractions, most of them focused on children.
Shocking customer service
Reviewed By Soren WWe arrived as advised in our email/ booking at 1900. We did not get any code for the box with key, nor anything to allow us to get inside. Our luck was that another guest let us in. We then tried to call the number provided at the reception and also emailed the hotel. We even looked up who owned the hotel to try and find an alternative number as no one was answering. Waiting 10, 15 maybe as long as 20 min is acceptable, but we waited 45 min!!! When the guy came down to serve us it was without any apology or anything- just a quick "oh I saw your email, I guess I better get you guys a key". Shocked of the lack of attempt to offer some kind of compensation or appology I was direct enough to ask if it would not be fair with some kind of compensation- to which we just got "no, you will pay full price". We then wanted to check if breakfast was okay at 0700, and we got told that in the high season breakfast is not served before 0800. There was no suggestion for any take away breakfast or anything... the guy just left as if we had been a pain for him. In our room there was just one lonely tea bag and rarely have we felt so low. Well motel ebeltoft, it was not a pleasure and we will not be a pain for you again and our company will find another place going forward. Shocking is almost a compliment! Det var pinligt!!!!

Reviewed By Eagle_dkThis small B&B on a former farm is excellently located 5 min drive from Mols Bjerge. Room and bathroom modernised and very clean, nicely decorated with plenty of storing space. Coffee and tea facilities to share for two rooms. Very comfy bed. Nice views to the hills and Kalø Vig. Friendly and service minded hostess. Restaurants in Femmøller (2 km) or Rønde (10 km). Good value for money.

Dejas el coche en el parking y cuando subes al apartamento lo haces por una escalera empinada que se encuentra en la parte posterior de la casa. Su propietario ha reformado varías buardillas en la parte superior lateral de la casa. Está todo nuevo. Es un pequeño apartamento de unos 30m2 en el que tienes de todo. Una cama, un sofá con chaisse long, una mesa con 4 sillas, cocina, platos, nevera, TV, wifi súper potente, sillones... suelo de parquet Ducha con presión suficiente Cama cómoda pero no muy ancha ( 135 cm ) Decoración muy fina. En fin, en el interior se está como en tu propia casa. Muy agradable Si no traes toallas ni sabana bajera te cobran suplemento de 150 kr Establecimiento muy recomendable

Thorup Gjestgiveri is close to the national Park "Mols Bjerge." "Bjerge" means mountains in Danish - these are 137 meter at the highest point. A unique landscape formed by the previous ice age, settled early by stonecutters, Vikings and fairies. Plenty of peaceful and wonderful views from the mountains. Beaches nearby, as Mols is a half island. Djurs Sommerland, Kattegatcenteret, Rhee Zoo, Skandinavisk Dyrepark, Randers Regnskov, Tivoli Friheden and many other activity centers in the area.
A very cozy little place
Reviewed By 201tomasMy family of three adult children and their spouses along with a grandchild and my wife stayed for a week at Thorups Gjestgivery. It is very much like visiting with a dear friend with ample space for visitors, rather than the Hotel feeling. We loved it and the surrounding area was fantastic. Mind you we were lucky with the weather, so we got to enjoy the beaches as well as nice strolls in Ebeltoft and the area zoo. We had one apartment for the younger generation and then us the older folks (although still young) had the luxury of another bedroom at the other side of the breakfast room.

The dining room with a large balcony (nice views) can also be used by guests for self-catering, including access to fridge. Two modern and well functioning shared bathrooms. Friendly and helpful hostess. Private parking free of charge. 5 min drive to Mols Bjerge.
