Reviewed By 534kyletThis is a really well appointed hotel. The staff were fantastic and extremely professional. We really appreciated the upgrade to a suite on check on as well. It’s a great location with Chapel Street on the doorstep and Toorak Road just a few metres away. The pool is great and the gym is adequate too.

I found the single room a bit too small but you get what you pay for - I recommend paying the $85 for a double. Shared bathrooms however constantly cleaned. What really makes the stay though is the Customer Service from the ladies at the front desk. They have a "No problem" attitude even when they are busy and are really accommodating and helpful with guests. They also really care about ensuring each guest has a great stay. I have stayed in many hotels that lack this kind of service and it really was a breath of fresh air. Please be kind to these ladies when you stay here because they really are good people who have also been struggling with covid and still have such an amazing attitude.

Reviewed By kerrydO6227JXMy first impression was it seemed very pleasant. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the room was not strictly speaking a studio apartment, but a bedroom with a kitchen in the entrance hall section. The room is average size and very big bed is very comfortable. There is not much storage space. No chest of drawers and small hanging space in very small wardrobe area. Hot water tank in cupboard however does ensure lots of hot water. The kitchen is well equipped but there is no worktop to even do something as simple as preparing a sandwich. It makes trying to do anything food wise incredibly tricky. Bathroom is fine, but it steams up so quickly as the extraction fan not adequately working. Lighting in bathroom makes it impossible to do makeup etc. Lighting throughout not great. Ceiling spotlights never that great. Bedside lamp adequate but not brilliant. WiFi connection is unsafe, my device refused to acknowledge it. And I would never use an unsafe connection anyway. I bought local SIM card with data provision instead. Balcony area terribly dirty, I guess it's hard to keep outside areas clean but it needed attention. However general cleanliness very good in rooms, lots of fresh towels etc. Location is excellent for the trains, and shops, restaurants etc. Lulu whites next door really good. Overall I'd recommend this place for short stays, but definitely not for longer stays. I was there for twenty five nights and it was too long.

Fantastic gem in the heart of South Yarra!
Reviewed By tessak_SAWe booked two rooms in this amazing hotel as it allowed us to bring our dog. What an awesome stay, from the staff who were so accommodating and friendly to the complimentary breakfast, this is a hotel which provides all the extra details that you don't think you need but realise how great they are when you have it. Whilst the room is on the smaller side, having a water tap in the room and complimentary minibar meant we didn't need to go out and get those extra snacks or drinks. It's also in a great location in South Yarra and despite the outside busyness, remains extra quiet. Ultimately, it's the little touches - such as the dog bed and bowl, automatic blinds, multiple power and USB points and the smiles that greet you, that make this hotel a winner. We greatly enjoyed our stay, so much so that upon needing a hotel for a work trip, I booked straight back in!

Brothers, Tom and Richard have completely transformed this classic 1960's apartment complex into a contemporary boutique Apartment Hotel. Located right in the middle of Melbourne's most chic suburb, South Yarra you are sure to enjoy your stay at SoYa. Enjoy superior amenity including full kitchens, dishwashers, espresso machines, in-room laundry, brand new luxe king beds, tv’s in bedrooms, access to hotel bikes etc etc. All apartments also come loaded with tech such as ultra-fast wifi, 50" Smart TV's, free Netflix Premium, free Spotify Premium, Google Mini (personal assistant) in every room and 10" Samsung tablets.

Everything was excellent and great value for money - really well fitted out apartments, very comfortable beds and amazingly helpful staff. This has a really great vibe, excellent location and genuinely nice people running the show. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Reviewed By Brian MI ve stayed here 6 times and always enjoyed my stay. Staff friendly and very helpful. Studio is clean and equipped with appliances. Bed comfortable and always get a good nights peaceful quiet sleep. Location is ideal close to trams trains and coffee shops and restraurents.

Reviewed By MarulanA very average apartment in a complex filled with Air B&B rentals - outside the street has 3 different building sites, commencing work at 7am including Saturday - as we were there for a break and a rest from getting up early for work, it was disappointing. Also a strange way to pick up the keys - from a box padlocked around a telegraph pole outside the building - glad we didn't arrive in the dark at night (or alone).
