Blenheim has never been considered the gastronomic nest of anywhere, in fact most locals travel to Picton for a dinning experience but this place is great. The food (Malaysian and Indian) is of the highest quality, the service is unhurried but spot on, the wine list is a little light but adequate. We dined on a Monday night which may have given us a false sense of how busy it gets, I would imagine the place would be very busy on a Friday or during the weekend. The food menu is expansive and all encompassing, both meals we had were ones we would order again.

Eight of us went there on a Sunday evening. We had booked, but needn't have done, as being Sunday, there were very few customers. Possibly for this reason, the service we received was excellent, quick, friendly and efficient, but I felt that even with a full restaurant, it would have been just as good, such was their attitude to their customers. The poppadoms were small, but full of taste, as were the accompanying dips and pickles. As for the main course, the chili chicken I ordered was wonderful, tender and full of subtle flavours, as well as being of a good quantity. We had several vegetarians in our party, who were able to choose from a wide range of diverse dishes. Among these was the Malai Kofta, which was particularly appreciated, and is a dish I don't think I've ever seen back home in England. The garlic naan breads were crispy and very tasty, and the only very moderate criticism I would make is that we were served an excess of boiled rice, 4 very large bowls for 8 diners, which we weren't able to finish all this, despite valiant efforts. All in all, a very lovely meal, and at extremely reasonable prices.
