This delightful cafe restaurant is a worthwhile destination for a pleasant 1/2 hour harbourside drive from central city in Dunedin to Portobello. It has elegant interior decor and ample indoor seating with options for outdoor dining when weather prevails. There is a very good range of menu options. This establishment is licenced and also offers a good selection of beverages. My wife enjoyed her French tarragon and pea soup while I had a most flavoursome thick seafood chowder. The service is very good and we found this a most pleasurable place to dine for lunch.

Four of us had burgers, which were fairly average. The southern fried chicken burgers were so dry we had to ask for more mayo. Service was very friendly but communication was poor as two wait staff kept asking us the same questions. Empty dishes and glasses weren’t cleared awAy and no dessert was offered.
