I came into this cafe with my mother who is a light eater and was pleased to find a very large and extensive range of amazing food options. I had the soup special a corn and bacon chowder which was creamy and delicious. My mother had a club sandwich - fresh and tasty were her words. Excellent coffee and great service. We were directed here by our lovely Sharon from Phoenix Motor Inn. It's a locals haunt. Great decor. Quirky artwork. And delicious food. Great date scones - we tested them all around south island and it's a toss up between these and those at Mumbles in Hanmer! Our only wish was that, in high summer when it's daylight until after 8p.m. that they were'nt open a bit later in the afternoon. Coffee and tea drinkers who like a bit of afternoon tea are really in a fix because most places seem to think we'd prefer alcohol at 4p.m., when the days are so long that we didn't even think of that until 6ish.

If you want a good breakfast Figaroâs is the place to go, the figaroâs big breakfast was amazing and tasted great ! Comes with soft poached egg, fried potatoes, bacon, mushrooms, fried tomatoes and sausages.

My partner and I lunched here today and were very disappointed we spent over $60 for lunch and left hungry! There was nothing wrong with the food but we were disappointed at the lack of food. great food but a bit over priced. Gluten free options good. Service can be very slow if you order takeaway coffeeThanks Cornelia for your review, we appreciate constructive feedback. Unfortunately in today's commercial world the cost of producing well prepared fresh food using good ingredients is more expensive. We are glad you appreciated however the quality of what we have to offer. Our apologies if you had a wait for a takeaway coffee, at times when the cafe is busy also this can be a problem, but we will look to improve on this....Thanks again

Really loved this restaurant when it was Raupo and having heard the restaurant was under new ownership as Saveur was interested to give it a try for dinner. As part of a large party it was firstly disappointing that we had to wait over 10 minutes to be given menus even though there were only a few other diners. We then waited at least a further 15 minutes to place orders and then only after one of the group members attracted a member of staffs attention. The food then seemed to take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive and was only average with the $17 entree cheese tart lacking value for money and the $8 portion of fries being lukewarm and not very crispy. Only other vegetarian option was also a entree of crumbed Camembert or a combination of sides. Wonât be heading back in a hurry.

I just arrived for first visit to Blenheim. I saw this pie shop and decided to seek it out for lunch. They said the most popular is pork belly and steak and blue cheese. I bought the steak and blue cheese. It was yummy and the crust was a super pastry. Grab napkins. There are two picnic tables to eat outside; order at counter.

We were looking for a coffee stop on a Sunday afternoon. Almost all the âwell knownâ coffee cafes that we searched online were closed on sundays - vines village cafe was an exception that closes at 5pm on a Sunday. So we drove over and were pleasantly surprised. It attracted quite a crowd of locals and we can see why - good coffee and great live music. A young lady that sang with her acoustic guitar. Her voice was pretty heavenly. We enjoyed a chill afternoon here before taking our ferry in Picton. Thanks! Thanks for visiting, that was our biggest day of the year, great timing! Safe travels

Nice place with many options. Wife had gluten free burger on lettuce, I had a tasty burger. Good drink choices. Quite friendly staff.We also took away ginger crunch and Chocolate peanut butter fudge brownies. Really enjoyed them later!
