Sunset is the best time to arrive at the 5th-century-B.C. Temple of the mythical sea God Poseidon. Perched on cliffs above Cape Sounio, the temple ruins, surrounded on three sides by sea, have stunning views out over the Aegean. It was mentioned in Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey. More recently, English Romantic poet Lord Byron visited this atmospheric spot in 1811 and inscribed his name at the base of one of the temple's Doric columns.

Right in the middle of the cental fish market of Lavrion, a wonderful place in its own right, this ouzo-and-meze place attracts quite a crowd, especially during weekends. Unsurprisingly, it specializes in fish and seafood meze. The menu is rather limited and all fish/seafood is fried. This is a pity, as some charcoal-grilled octopus or sardines would really be in order at a place like this. Certainly worth a visit, but in need of menu expansion.

Low than average food experience in that well known restaurant in this area, very expensive as well and the service very poor. The personnel was unkind and not helpful at all. In addition, it was the only restaurant in the area that didn't offer us fruit or traditional dessert at the end!This was a bad experience

The food is not so good, for me must be better, because is very small and is like all the family working together, the service is better then the food. The view is wonderful, I was in the night .

Near tourist attractions you rather expect average food for a higher price.
Near Cap Sounion we were not happy with the options so we decided to try Syrtaki that we saw at the road side.
The food was really excellent. Try the Squid! Wonderful fish. Nice Service and they know their wines.

Visited 3 times during our 10 fays holiday at the Cape Sounio Grecotel Resort. We wanted to try something different from the Mediterranean cousine so booked a table for a late dinner through the resort reception. We were given free welcome snacks and drink. We ordered different types of sushi and chicken teryaki. All the dishes were not only superb but very well decorated as well. Our waitress Xenia was attentive and entertaining. So we visited the place twice again, well done!

I was invited to this restaurant by friends for a birthday celebration. It is beautifully located in the pedestrian area of Lavrio. The food was just excellent; home made Greek cuisine, great variety of food, either seafood or meat, and lots of traditional dishes. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. Now I understand why this place is always full.

The atmosphere is very authentic Greek, the food very tasty - we only had fish and sea-food, the open wine was good and the owner was good humoured and friendly. I can strongly recommend this place. Locals had recommended the restaurant and most of the visitors were locals, so the price range was quite modest.

Καλή η εξυπηρέτηση, καλές οι μερίδες και οι τιμές... απλά δεν τρώγονται! Απαράδεκτο το τηγάνισμα, από πατάτες μέχρι ψάρια, μυρίζει το λάδι ιδιαίτερα βαριά (βρωμάει είναι η σωστή περιγραφή), παρόλο που του το έχουμε πει από πέρυσι και φέτος 2 φορές, αλλά δεν διορθώνεται! Υπάρχουν πολύ καλύτερες επιλογές στην περιοχή για την έξοδο σας...

Nothing special when location is concerned, but near the most crowded sandy beach of Sounio. Changed management in 2014 and the food is really good and prices are reasonable.
if you just want to have a descent meal at a good price with no special requests, it's the right place to go
