This is a small family restaurant with an adjacent store next door. The tables are tight, but that's ok. We loved the food and wild boar sauce was fantastic. How fantastic? I went next door to their store and bought 8 bottles to take home as well as some great tasting olive oil. And how cool are the owners? The took us downstairs to see their ancient underground tunnel and cave. I went to this restaurant with a vegan friend visiting from the US and we had an absolutely incredible meal. Not only were they extremely accommodating but we truly ate the most delicious selection of Tuscan appetizers, first courses and second courses with such fresh local ingredients that we did not even feel overly full at the end. The restaurant is small so call ahead of time, you won't regret it. Amazing, hope to go back soon.

It happens very often to read a review using words like "amazing", "outstanding"... Because of this, I don't really know how to describe "La Imperiale - Ristomacelleria" because they are definitely a step above other meat restaurants. As first dish, we ordered an undescribable Gnocchi di Monica con ragú di cinghiale (hmmmm, so soft and tasty!). As second dish, a Bistecca Fiorentina... can't really describe how soft and fresh it was...Summarizing: a simple place (it is a butcher!) where the quality of their ingredients and cooker makes the big difference. Worth coming with family/friends to remember together how good it was!!! :)
