We had lunch here one day when it was very windy and unable to sit near the beach. The restaurant is in a lovely sheltered setting with a bar in the garden. Quite a large menu with some different dishes on. We would have visited again but we were not staying close by.

Went last night for a meal at this restaurant. Food was probably the best we have had so far on this holiday. Calamari sand taramasalata starters followed by gyros (hubby), lamb special (me), fish nuggets (daughter) and a Greek salad for the table. My daughter found room for a chocolate soufflé for pudding too. Really loved the meal and setting. Only one downside was my daughter had barely finished her pudding when we were presented with the bill and kind of felt like pay up and go. I think it strange we weren't even asked if we wanted coffee or anything just given the bill - sort that out and you might be 5 srar rating.

This lovely bar became a firm favourite throughout our stay with great wine and nice cold beer served with a smile and complimentary nuts and fruit. Another good place to sit and watch the sunset and generally people watch.

We Have recently returned from a great family holiday, perfect in every way except one. The taverna LAROUS, a dysfunctional family run establishment. The first time we ate there the service was a little slow but not to be unexpected, although the taverna wasn’t full. Food was okay, the bill was higher than expected. The night we ate there again was mid-week, as we sat down there were about 4 or 5 tables empty with a centre table with a family of 7 or 8 who were waiting for their food.
As before the owner’s husband came greeted us as previously, placed the table cloth down and were given menus and ordered drinks as we knew what we wanted. The drinks came and we ordered our meals. After 15/ 20 minutes one of the people on the centre table got up went further inside the taverna and came out moments later carrying his own drinks for his table with a young boy waiter following, the man turned to him saying “THESE HAD BETTER BE ON THE HOUSE” We thought little of it at the time.
The table to our right had been sat before we arrived and had their food and drinks. Shortly after they all got up and left, it was then I noticed that the meals had been half eaten and drinks left. I don’t recall seeing them paying the bill and when the women came to clear the table, there was definitely no tip left.
After all that we had observed my wife told me that an hour had passed and we had all but finished our drinks. It took the next 15 minutes to get the attention of the young boy waiter. When I did eventually get his attention, I asked him how long would it be before we got our meals, bearing in mind we hadn’t even received our garlic bread. His reply shocked me with him shouting “WHEN IT’S READY, IT’S READY, AND WHEN ITS COOKED YOU’LL GET IT” then started walking away. At that I got up and followed him into the taverna to the kitchen and cash register area.
I was the greeted by the mother appearing behind the kitchen serving hatch. I asked her directly if there was a problem and repeated what her son had said to me, the list of excuses that came from her were classic. My chef’s mother had fallen ill, her husband speaks little English, she had burnt her hand, raising a ripped blue gloved hand in the air “nice image” and It was I being hard, her son was only 14 years old then later changed it to 15 years old. All this time the father was sat head down tapping on his calculator and said nothing.
To end this tale of woe I said that it wasn’t good enough and that I would pay for the drinks that we had had, on which she said, “they didn’t want paying for the drinks just pay for the meals” the meals we didn’t receive, at that I placed down 5 Euro’s on the table and walked out to cheers from what I can only perceive as other disgruntled customers.

A perfect place near the sea. Enjoy a coffee on the beach from early in the morning or a drink and a cocktail at the bar until late at night. Every day with great music, atmosphere and mood.

Went there for 1 quick drink ended up staying till 2am .. friendly staff, great selection of drinks, banging tunes ...liked it so much we went back for lunch couple days later and was not disappointed... Highly recommend ♥️

Very bad value for money. Not good quality of food. Very slow service -we had been waiting for a very log time even to pay! Dirty toilets. I would not recommend it to anyone. Too expensive for what it offers. Chips served with every single dish are precooked and taste awful. We had staffed peppers and tomatoes with rice which was horrible cause the rice was not the right kind for this and also it tasted like boiled, it was served with chips also it costed 6€... it was the worst restaurant in thasos... in the end we payed 3 euros for water and bread and we were only 2 people... last but not least, they forgot to bring one of the three total dishes we had ordered. When they finally brought it, my partner had already finished his main course.

We had a great privilege to visit this beautiful place every evening during our two weeks on Thassos.Belive me : you can not find better coffee and wine on island !!! And you can not find more professional, more kindly ( and more beautiful...) Staff in Greece !!!
