Great hotel, shame about some of the guests

Reviewed By happygoonball

Last minute booking as we decided to stay on Agistri overnight. Very friendly and helpful staff greeted us and we were given an upgrade to a maisonette which was lovely. Very comfy bed, clean and tidy. The pool area was busy with families, kids in the pool and adults drinking. We were disturbed in the evening as one of the drunk adults was hammering on the adjacent door to ours. Not pleasant but not the hotels fault. We’d definitely stay again if we visit the island in the future.

Wonderful Stay

Reviewed By fi1987

We stayed for six nights at this beautiful little hotel. It honestly looks exactly like the pictures and overlooks a stunning beach. The decor is gorgeous and the beds are really comfortable. All the food at the hotel was delicious, the grilled octopus was the best we had on the island!! Breakfast was included in the rate and exceeded our expectations, with fresh pastries made daily, juice, coffee/teas, cereals, yoghurt & honey, fruit, cheeses & meats, in addition to a hot selection. The people at the hotel were lovely too, they couldn't do enough to help you and always greeted you with a smile! We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone visiting the island.

The receptionist is lovely and very helpful. The room has all the necessary amenities. Would definitely recommend.

Dirty and dingy

Reviewed By Marina M

The rooms are dirty and the hotel is very old. The photos are misleading. The air conditioning barely cools the room. The customer service isn’t great either. They are not willing to release you of your booking if you are not happy so you are forced to stay the full duration. Don’t stay here you will regret it.

I visited Agistri to go kayaking and this hotel was very close to the kayak base. The room was comfortable, very clean with everything you need. What was special was the genuine hospitality. Calliope and her family offered and the effort they made to provide a great service. The breakfast was amazing and all home made.

Tranquility

Reviewed By MNMinneapolis

We (two couples) stayed at Agistri Club Hotel in September 2021. It was the final island during our one-month trip to Greece and we couldn’t have found a better spot to end our trip. In fact, when we return to Greece to explore other islands in the future, we will again end our trip with a stay at this hotel. It’s that wonderful! Our rooms were simple yet had what we needed for a comfortable stay. They reminded us of cabins. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. We ventured out for some evening meals but in retrospect we should have eaten more meals at Agistri Club. Their daily changing menu was always intriguing and we loved every dish we tried there. The same views were enjoyed during meals. The owners and staff at the hotel are friendly and helped us as needed (e.g. gave advice about hiking in the area, picked us up and dropped us off at the port). We highly recommend this magical spot!

Akrogiali Hotel

A short walk from the village of Skala, these well-equipped studios offer views of the blue Aegean Sea and the green mountains of Agistri. The family run apartments are designed to offer maximum flexibility for couples and families who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the sun. Shops are close by and the well equipped kitchenette means you can enjoy home-made meals on your balcony or eat at one of the restaurants and tavernas in the village which cater to all tastes. The studios are on the sea front, handily placed for an early morning swim. On the short walk to the village your nose will lead you to the baker with fresh crispy rolls straight from the oven and nearby is a general store with everything from thick Greek yoghurt to local honey. The island has a regular bus service, car and bike hire and boat excursions. As the sun sets you’ll find a good choice of tavernas and bars plus a delightful open air cinema to enjoy a film on a hot summer night with a cold beer in your hand.

Warm welcome, comfortable and well-located, Akrogiali is a winner

First time in Agistri Island and, obviously, first time in this charming and winsome hotel right on the beach in Skala. It is a small jewel, 18 sparkling and immaculate rooms, run by three generations of a family whose love for the hotel shows. Tina is the heart and soul of the hotel; her parents and daughter are also on hand to complete a warm welcome. The immaculate rooms are comfortable and have kitchenettes, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a view of the beach in front of the hotel. While I am not a breakfast person, I saw lots of happy faces in the hotel's leafy courtyard where breakfast was served during my stay, This was a solo hop to Agistri for three days to get to know this little island 55 minutes from Piraeus by Flying Dolphin. I will be coming back and Akrogiali will be my first choice of hotel.

Very beautiful facilities !

Reviewed By 481eleanas

I loved the decorations !!! Very elegant combining the aesthatics of ancient greek replica statues with a baroque like spirit . Very beautiful to the eye, indeed. Other than that , you may have to ask for clean towels yourself or face a problem with the very narrow elevator but nothing serious or dramatic. Every room has a small balcony so you can sit and relax. Rooms are not sound proof though ... It's very close to any beach you may choose to go to . It's also close to a bakery and all the taverns. If I go to Agistri again , I'll definitely choose the same hotel .
