Bei King Restaurant

While attending a seminar held in Bei King hotel, we enjoyed all meals in the hotel itself, at Bei King Restaurant. Famed for its Fuchow food, the restaurant also provided other kinds of dishes at lunches and dinners. Considering that the food served for the 50 of us was so well-cooked, we felt sure that normal patrons of the place coming in smaller groups would enjoy food prepared even more carefully.

Love the garden siting, and the drinks. Whatever fancy bread they were selling were not kopitiam style but more of using Guardinia bread, hence not quite impressed.
The you-tiao stall has friendly owner and the you-tiao is pretty good.
We ordered wanton mee, which didn't turn up after 30mins, can't comment if it was good.

Sun Hon Siong Restaurant

Reviewed By DanTruman - Penang

This is the one that most esstablished restaurants in town, probably more than 60 years in business. The second generation of the family is running the business currently.
The restaurant is located at the road site along the Lumut Ipoh highway. The building is old, judge by the look most people think the restaurant will serve any thing good, but trust me, the food inside will teach u a lesson not to judge a book by its cover.
There are few food recommended here, fried oyster with egg(oo jian), sweet and sour pork rib, sweet and sour fish fillet, local made red wine rice noodle(ang chow mee sua), lu mian(noodle cooked with thick seafood sauce), and my favorite dish, sweet and spicy fish maw soup.
The local "sang yuk pao"(steam meat bun) that sell in the restaurant is also another should try item.

Rojak Manjung

Reviewed By DewiRatna - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We visited the restaurant recently with friends. This is the first time I tried Rojak Manjung in Sitiawan town. The place is quite secluded but full of people. We ordered a plate of rojak, two plates of mee rebus and a plate of nasi campur. The owner highly recommended Rendang Cendawan. Mushroom Rendang? That's probably the strangest food combinations I've ever heard in my life. Anyway, the rendang cendawan (mushroom rendang) taste is just average. Nothing much special about it. The service is quite fast though there are many Muslim customers. Overall not a bad place to eat.

Restoran Makanan Laut Villa

Reviewed By Scenegraphic - Sitiawan, Malaysia

Restoran Makanan Laut Villa was relocated to its present premises some years back because of development in its previous locality. It is famous for its Thai flavours in some of the seafood dishes. Prices are reasonable and the ambience is that of a country style dining amidst the oil palm plantation. On hot sunny days the roof sprinklers keep the place cool. No pork is served in the restaurant but the choices and tastes of seafood dishes soon allay your craving for the meat. Recommended if you are passing by or visiting Kg Koh.

Hai Tien Di Restaurant

Reviewed By Xeyan - Kuala Lumpur

We initially went to seafood villa restaurant but it was super pack although it was already 9 ++pm. We drove passed Hai Tien Di and decided to choose this instead. We waited for half an hour for the food to be served on a saturday night. Not too bad i would say because the restaurant was actually quite packed.
We ordered a steam sek pan( rm38 for roughly 350g), steam lala (rm 20) and fried sotong (rm 20) for the 4 of us. I think it is too little for 4 i would recommend to add another 1 or 2 dishes more. All the 3 dishes tasted great! Thumbs up!!
I would definitely pay a visit here again in future.

Taste is amazing~ delicious~ crunchy outside juicy inside. So far this is the best Chinese bagel (gong pian) I ever eat with onion as ingredient.
How to enjoy : Eat once you buy and DO NOT tie up the plastic bag until the bagel (gong pian) is 100% cold to avoid become soft.
Tips: Always come early 15-30 minutes from the time the boss told you.
