Fantastic restaurant--beautiful setting and great food. Not many foreigners see this part of Borneo and I would like to pass on good tips for any that follow in our footsteps.

They open the resort at the end of January. The project progress is 65% when their first opening.
It's a nice place to stay.
Comfort bed room, with individual air conditioner. Minimalist but not easy-cleanable bathroom. No minibar or refrigerator. And I think, I will not spent my Rp. 340.000 for that facilities. But I'm sure that they will have much improvement after they complete all their project.
Sorry I'm not recommend this resort for you yet. But I still recommend you the restaurant. Much nice and delicious Indonesian food still served there. I recommend you their "Es Jagung", sweet soft boiled corn, served with cool cream...

During my stay in Singkawang I was there twice, the hotel with restaurant is up the hill via a road near to Dangau Resort (the location shown at Google Earth is completely wrong!). At each visit the dishes were freshly prepared and perfect to my taste, not oily as in other restaurants. It is so relaxing to sit there with the view to town and the breeze. Service was very good and friendly. For me the best choice in Singkawang.

Been to this restaurant a few times since 2014. It is always packed even on weekdays. The food has been consistently scrumptious. The stir fried vegetables such as pakis, potato leaves are refreshingly prepared. The steamed fish with fermented beans is a must-try. The butter prawns is not too oily nor too salty, just nice. Thumbs up!!

The coffee is strong and aromatic. It is specially roasted by the lady owner herself. This coffee shop is one of the longest in town, having in business since 1930s. The black coffee goes well with the local delicacies such as kuih bingka (tapioca cake), kuih pulut , kuih pandan, etc. I tried the home made butter cake by the lady owner and it was really good. It is a really nice place to start off the day!

If you have tried their equally tasty sister outlets in Jakarta, you would expect an even better version here but to me it is all the same. The usual dishes that we ordered is ayam goreng Singkawang, ayam goreng pandan, the must have pakis terasi, crispy mushrooms. In Jakarta we usually also ordered the sup kakap sayur asin but too bad they ran out of it that day. the waiter recommended the gurame jeruk bali but upon tasting i found it too greasy and oily for my taste
