The city first developed as a fishing centre (rybnik means fishpond in several Slavic languages) in the Middle Ages, then was a capital of so-called Rybnik State. Rybnik grew as an important centre of coal mining and the seat of the surrounding county in the 19th century. I am italian and i been in this pizzeria,da grasso, but of italian have only name,becouse pizza was not really good! Normal up pizza must be mozzarella this is tradiction , and no cheese like glue. When i was last time, i did choise in the menu: pizza italiana(margherita) i thinking was as in italian,but when i look this pizza in incoming for me was just tomato sauce ,with mozzarella almost invisible and absent. I don't know how polish people can eat this kind of pizza .

ZamawiajÄ c pizzÄ do pracy ( przynajmniej raz w tygodniu ) nigdy nie miaÅem żadnego ale co do czasu dostawy czy jej temperatury. Sama pizza nie powala ale przynajmniej zawsze jest tak samo i wiem czego mogÄ siÄ spodziewaÄ. 4 za dowóz ale 2 za lokal bo niestety ale jest obskurny... Årednia 3.

This place is excellent. They serve a variety of polish dishes and pizza which you can se being made by the chef. The food is excellent, so are the staff. Sometimes you have to wait a little and most Saturdays and sundays it's fully booked which is a good sign. Try it!

This is a nicely decorated but small spot. The restaurant offers nice Italian food (pasta, antipasti, pizza...) as well as local and sessional dishes. Offered vines and deserts are tasty too.

Pizzeria, która istnieje w Rybniku od bardzo dawna. Jeszcze bÄdÄ c w liceum ( jakieÅ 20 lat temu ) chodziÅo siÄ do tego lokalu na pizzÄ lub zapiekanki. Dzisiaj tam byÅam, trochÄ z ciekawoÅci, czy dalej jest tak miÅo i smacznie. Wystrój niezmienny od lat i dobrze, a i jedzenie też dobre. Pizze różne, dobre i sycÄ ce. Do wyboru różne rodzaje makaronów i saÅatek. Przy zakupie powyżej 50 zÅotych gratis. MyÅmy dostali litrowy sok do zamówienia. Ceny bardzo atrakcyjne. Na duży plus i uznanie zasÅuguje obsÅuga. Bardzo miÅa, kompetentna i serdeczna. Dobre miejsce w centrum Rybnika, gdzie można dobrze i tanio zjeÅÄ. Polecam.

First off, not easy to find, we walked right past it. Hint, it is downstairs next door to a night called Ambrosia, just off the main square.The idea is great and the ambience in the brick vaulted basement restaurant is okay, but in need of re-decoration. The seating is in small pods of tables located in alcoves off a main hallway. The music is nostalgic 50s/60s American hits....but just as my wife mentioned to deaf old me " that's the third time I.ve heard that song " a table close to us asked the server if they could get some new music as they were also tired of the repetition.THE FOOD......we shared the sampler appetiser : Batter fried cauliflower and broccoli ( okay but bland ) chicken wings (nicely grilled over wood apparently but also unseasoned) and very small rather tasteless Onion rings which I believe may have been a frozen product brought in...due to the uniformity and look of the product. The dipping sauces were very sad, an herbed sour cream, ketchup and a sweet bbq sauce. Luckily there was Tabasco at the table so we rescued the sauces with a few generous splashes! I ordered the NY Cheeseburger, which was pretty decent, juicy and served on a nice fresh bun. My wife had the El Paso Burger which said was okay without much enthusiasm. We agreed that seasoning was not the chef's forte. Oh, yes, I also ordered the baked potato ....sadly received 4 very small "new potatoes" cut in half ! To be honest they were nice, but the baked potato I was expecting !There were more exciting items on the menu which tempted me.Burrito, Quesadilla, some Louisiana dishes, NY strip, Ribeye etc.but I have learnt from experience to keep it simple when ordering non Polish food in Poland ,outside of major metropolitan hubs..it reduces the likely scenario of being disappointed. And based upon the results of ordering simple, I think I was right to do so this time.The service was adequate and polite and in all we had a pleasant evening, BUT go there knowing that it is an adaptation of American food, not the real McCoy.
