Reviewed By Lekke4Good place to stay on a stopover - very clean place with friendly management and access to a large kitchen if you want to cook. We had a private bathroom and AC option. Good value for money. Management offered advice on where to eat locally and boat timings/prices.

Reviewed By brilandhenthe downside: the cabins - the floors really do need nailing down. However we were very safe from marauding insects and it was more a case of tripping over than nasties crawling through the gaps. Also not a lot to do, once you have explored the river. The upside: Scarlet Macaws, and many other birds, monkeys entertaining and a river trip. Lovely people running the Lodge, great gardens, clean air, peace, and superbly nice food. no other guests that we could see

Fantastic Stay in Sierpe
Reviewed By gwc86If you are heading to Sierpe, please, please stay here. Stephany is a fantastic host and a wonderful lady. We stayed here for one night and enjoyed it so much that we messaged by Whatsapp to ask to stay another night after returning from Drake Bay. Everything you could want is here, a comfortable room, a good breakfast and excellent conversation. We were also helped with our onward travel by public bus and taxi. Out of our 2.5 weeks in Costa Rica, this is the best guesthouse we visited by far. We will always think fondly of our stay there.

Mangrove tour
Reviewed By WilliamB1753We didn't stay at the lodge but ended up on a five hour boat tour from Drake Bay with the owner which turned out to be one of our best guided tours in Corcovado. Exploring the stunning coastline and then the mangroves and forest upriver, we saw everything from a beach full of crabs to crocodiles, turtles, sloths, bats, iguanas, monkeys and dozens of birds. This is a chap that knows his backyard and is more than happy to spend as much time as you need to ensure you get maximum enjoyment. We briefly stopped at the eco-lodge and if you want to stay immersed in the mangroves and forest, completely away from tourism, then this is the place for you. We wish we had known about it when planning our trip! Oh, and also extremely well organised.

An adventure stay with exemplary support staff and beautiful facilities

Just getting there was an adventure - a 30 minute boat ride and then a trek up a hill to a beautiful home with stunning views of the Sierpe River and the mountains beyond. Being greeted by Dolly, our cook exceptional, bearing iced fruit drinks and cool facecloths was only the beginning of exceptional service and wonderful side adventures. Fortunately we booked Dolly for all evening meals. Rueben our guide extraordinary was knowledgeable, always prompt, friendly, as good as you could get. There were more options for adventures than we could take advantage of. Don’t miss the boat trip to the beach at the mouth of the Sierpe River. Gorgeous. Good communications with Mark our host and great coordination with Simone our concierge. Highly recommend.

Great stay with Warner & Candy
Reviewed By Marcel vLas Esferas de Sierpe is a great low-budget place to stay when you're in Sierpe. There's airco available and the rooms are quite spacious. The owner Warner and his lovely assistant Candy are great and very helpful. Every morning we enjoyed a freshly made cup of coffee made by Warner - very appreciated! The place is a bit away from the city centre, but if you have a car this would be no problem. Otherwise, Warner has a couple of bikes available. Tip: No need to book any activities in advance. Warner can definitely help you out.

Camping accommodation is offered, cooking service for self-consumption, local fishing tours services, bird watching, observation of animal species in river channels crocodiles monkeys macaws snakes and many others, local activities, within the Terraba-Sierpe wetland are offered surrounded by rivers and virgin mountains all very natural.
