Arrived here by bike, it was our next stop after a swim in Cala Azzura. We felt like something refreshing to drink since we had been in the sun for hours. Ordered two cocktails, can't remember the names but my bfs had gin, ginger and sage. An unusual combination but very good. With drinks they also serve complimentary peanuts, crisps and olives. The setting of the bar is very modern.

The restaurant is located close to the main church of the island. Young staff and chefs who propose traditional dishes in a modern way keeping the original recipes ( with small personal additions) and ingredients. Nice fish and pasta dishes, prices in line with the average.

Formica is a newly opened restaurant, just a little bit off the main square of Favignana. We hope it catches on. Our meal was somewhat unusual. We ordered two appetizers and two secondi, and everything came at once. As it turned out, this made a certain amount of sense, since the âantipastiâ were actually substantial vegetable dishes. There was the tortino di patate, scarola e caciocavallo, which was really a delicious potato and onion casserole. The fondente di melanzane con salsa di pomodoro, mollica e pecorino could be called baked eggplant in tomato sauce.Our two secondi were well prepared fish dishes. The merluzzo (cod) âal pil pilâ was served with potatoes, olives and capers, but the most expensive dish of all, the grilled triglie, a catch of the day, was served with nothing at all. But with all those âantipastiâ still on the table, that was just fine.We hope Formica gets more customers. Maybe they need a sign out in the main square to point the way.

We celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary there and really enjoyed all the different foods we ordered. The setting is magical and romantic. The pastas were all yummy, the tuna was melting in your mouth and the deserts were instantly made. So fresh! Will certainly be back!

I couldnât agree more with the principles stated in the menu concerning the restaurantâs devotion to local ingredients and local culinary traditions, but I think more attention could be paid to serving freshly prepared food. We arrived at opening at 7:30, and they were clearly not ready for customers, but there is nothing wrong with waiting a few minutes with some water and wine.The antipasto plate was good, a selection of little bits of cheeses, dried tomatoes, capers, fish, etc. However, the main courses that arrived after this were obviously reheated from the day before, and not reheated very carefully either. Somebody in the kitchen was really in a hurry!The couscous allâastice consisted of a bowl of lukewarm to cool couscous with two small meatless astice arms on top, and a covered bowl of lukewarm, bland broth with a few small pieces of astice floating in it. Traditional fish couscous recipes call for a much spicier broth, with perhaps a bit of saffron or cinnamon.Our other main dish, the polpette di palombo (on a bed of zucchine with a coating of sesame seeds, and capers, olives, and turmeric inside the fish balls) was acceptable to the taste but tough.The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant and the wait staff are friendly and helpful. The best part of the meal was the outstanding liqueur made from alloro (laurel) served at the end.

I visited this restaurant with my friends as we wanted something special for our friend's birthday. The location was perfect- the outdoor seating area in the garden was very pleasant.The food was good, nothing extraordinary however. The portions were not as I expected. I ordered king prawns, and all I had were 4 tiny prawns in a plate. The bottarga pasta was definitely the best dish from the whole menu.

Hidden and a short walk form the tourist crowd this is a place which I visited few times to enjoy dining under the stars, table by the pool, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food.Service is kind and efficient, the menu card offers traditional dishes mainly fresh fish and we enjoyed every visit.If you are looking to be entertained it is better to dine along the main streets of Favignana, the restaurant is quite and relaxing

So glad we stopped here! The tuna was absolutely excellent. The best tuna kebab I have ever had. We had one called the Bomba which had potato, eggplant, tomatoes and pesto ..topped with chili flakes!!! YUM!! Fresh tuna with delicious fillings well worth stopping by!

This is a new restaurant, visited twice during recent stay. The staff and chef were very friendly and accommodating, always willing to make an effort for our requests. Food was very fresh and seasonal, relaxing environment in nice architect designed space located in the centre on a quiet side street just moments from main squares. If you can book ahead for specific dietary requirements it would be advisable.
