5 chalets of various sizes beside the national park. Inside a small farm with coffee, banana, mango and many other trees. A trail goes through rainforest to a viewpoint, where you overlook 100 km. Much Nature and calm. With the words of a guest: "It is the only guesthouse where you can hear a leaf drop on the bottom." Altitude: 900 m, therefore always between 17° and 29° C.

Reviewed By tomask141We stayed in the Sitio de Alemao just for one night but we really enjoyed the peace and the beatiful garden that Herbert built over the years. Herbert was also very welcoming and helped us with our onward travel. We hope we come back again.

Electric shock in the shower and more...
Reviewed By Alicia CI was here for work. When we arrived, the shower did not have hot water, so we asked the man at the reception to fix it (who I learned later is the manager, and owner's son). After a delay, he did come to the room, worked on it for about 10 minutes, and said that he fixed it. He is not an electrician. I then went to take a shower. While the water was now warm, I received a very large shock of electric current from the shower knob. I have felt electric current in the shower knob in other hotels, but this was much stronger than anything I had experienced. It was scary and horrible, and my hand continued to tingle and feel strange for over an hour. I left the shower, dressed, and went to speak to the receptionist/manager. He was hardly apologetic and didn't seem like he planned to do anything about it. An hour later I went to talk to him again, and he finally offered that I could switch rooms. In moving to the next room, he suggested that the shock was bad because I was barefoot. (I wear flip flops in the shower when I feel that a place is not clean, so perhaps he thought I should have been wearing them?) He did not seem disturbed by what had happened to me, after I repeatedly said how dangerous it could have been. When I asked a nearby attendant for a fan for the new room, the manager called out from the floor below to say that there was a fan on the floor (which there wasn't) and essentially called me a liar. All of the staff that we met who clean the rooms and serve breakfast were very gracious and kind. The management was terrible. Be advised - the breakfast policy is "one egg per person." There were also many small ants in our first room that kept coming onto the bed.

Não informou o horário de encerramento do restaurante, tampouco o horário do café da manhã. Paguei 250 reais no bangalô que sequer tinha um banheiro privativo. A palha estava defendo. O café da manhã é terrível. Não tinha nem utensílios para pegar frutas. Ninguém sabe nada lá, embora trabalhe no local. O banheiro e de palha, deu nojo entrar. Enfim, não vale a pena ficar em bangalô pagando 250 reais somente pelo colchão com mal cheiro.
