Dropped in on Saturday August 19, 2017. This place has always been spectacular in the past. Not so this time. Quality of the food has dropped significantly. We ordered the liver and onions which for the first time ever was just so so, actually bland from lack of seasoning. But it was smothered in caramelized onion which seemed to save it, however the quantity was adequate. My wife had the small order of battered chicken strips with fries. The fries were cold and the chicken strips had maybe, at best, 2 mouthfuls of chicken meat and the rest was batter. A ratio of 1/4 chicken to 3/4 batter disappoints. What a rip=off. Worse yet, the excellent coleslaw that came with both meals amounted to about a tablespoon each. When we questioned the manager about it we were told that was normal, that they serve 2 oz. of slaw.
We will never go back. It ain't worth it.

The food was very good and well prepared. The only issue was the service. We were seated and given menus immediately upon arrival. We did not see our waitress for 20 minutes and finally got the manager's attention. Her response, "I'll get your waitress for you." To be fair there were two large groups when we arrived. Instead of merely supervising, it would have been nice if the manager had helped out the wait staff.
The manager did apologize and offered to give us an appetizer gratis.

This is one of our favourite Italian restaurants. This small family-owned restaurant serves up the best pizza for miles around. The crust is absolutely perfect. The ambience of the restaurant is just as perfect for small gatherings as it is for intimate dinners with a loved one. However, if you plan on having several people with you for a meal, it's best to call ahead.
Enjoying a meal at Papa Carlos in my mind is like having a meal with Mamma and Papa Italian style. Assolutamente delizioso!
It's worth the drive to Lockport and luckily for us, it's only a 10-minute drive from home.

I haven't been out to the Half Moon in Lockport Manitoba for several years. A friend and I decided to take a nice scenic drive out there the other evening. The Half Moon didn't disappoint. It was better than I remember, the 50's nostalgic look... clean, neat .. we ordered several different burgers , fries, milkshakes... the food was awesome. The staff were very pleasant and our meals came quite quick. It was definitely worth the nice little drive out there and we look forward to going back!!

Fresh sushi prepared to order at fair prices. Menu has many options for everyone. They even have ice cream for dessert. Best place I have found for sushi so far in the area. Friendly wait staff. I look forward to coming here every time I visit.

The restaurant is small but comfortable and the menu has many dishes to choose from. They offer both North American style as well as a traditional Chinese menu. You may dine in or take out and Delivery via Skip the Dishes. We ordered small wonton soup which was hot and delicious filled with fresh vegetables and lots of them. The Dry breaded veal and shrimp dishes were excellent and the veal is the most tender I have ever had it. We had chow mein and chicken fried rice (very flavourful) and beef and greens. Portions are large for sharing. Prices are very good. Well worth the trip to St. Norbert (suburb of Winnipeg.)
