Reviewed By hduck50Location is fantastic if going to the beach. The building is very dated and rooms are small. The pool is very small as well. Rooms are clean and housekeeping did knock during our stay to see if we needed more towels are anything. The parking lot is small as well.

The Sunrise Motel in Seaside Heights is owned and operated by the Loundy family, who have been welcoming vacationers to the Jersey Shore since 1932. The motel features efficiency suites and luxury suites, accommodating couples and families up to 6 people per room! Our efficiency suites have 2 double beds, a sofa-bed or futon, and a kitchenette. Our luxury suites have 2 queen beds, a full kitchen, bath with jacuzzi tub, and living room with sofa-bed or futon. We are located less than a block from the boardwalk for easy access to the beach, rides, games, and amusements. Our property features a beautiful pool, expansive 150 foot sundeck, free WI-FI, free parking, BBQ grills, and cable TV in each room. All of our rooms are non-smoking, but smoking is permitted in all outdoor areas. During the summer season we also include 2 free badges with each room and free breakfast each morning at a choice of two local restaurants.

Reviewed By 921luanfDo not stay there, Beds had only bottom sheets and we had 2 washclothes, no towels. promised that we'd have beach passes included. NO cost an extra $10 a day. Said there was breakfast included. It was not. HORRIBLE dont go there. There was no "front desk" and no one could answer questions. AND they changed the price twice on us. EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA money and a real dump

Exceptionally dirty and unsafe!!!!
Reviewed By ralphiezitroMy wife and two children booked this motel for two nights based on the pictures on their website. However, the pictures on the website must have been taken from some where else because this is NOT how this place looks. Once I entered the office to check in, I noticed that the office smelled like someone had been smoking and it did not look welcoming at all. Paid my $552 for the two nights and then we gathered our belongings from the car to put them in our designated room. The front carpet by the room door was dirty but I let that go. However, once we entered the room the small carpet inside the room had sand and balls of hair on it. The room smelled disgusting and it looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. There were cheese noodles on top of the counter, the bed sheets had stains and had dirt marks on them. One of the beds looked like it had a blood stain and the bed were so uncomfortable and made so much noise that no one in our party was able to sleep. Now to the bathroom, the toilet was broken and had stains all over it. The bathtub was dirty all around it and the shower curtain had mold everywhere. We had to shower with our slippers on inside the tub. They only left three small shower towels which looked like they were purchased ten years ago (bad quality towels that felt like sand paper on your body). Luckily my wife brought beach towels which is what we had to use to dry our bodies. There were hair balls all over the place on the floor in the bathroom. There was a TV in the room but it only allowed us to watch one channel (News 12). The beds were so bad that we had to sleep with long pants pajamas, socks and a hoody sweater in order to not have to put our heads on the pillows. The place was unsafe. The door to the room did not lock so I had to put a chair during the night to prevent anyone from the outside breaking in while we slept. If this motel is following all safety and health protocols due to COVID-19, I hate to see what this place looked like before the pandemic.

We are a family owned motel located on the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ. We offer Ocean front and ocean view rooms. We have rooms with Kitchettes and others with microwaves. All rooms have refrigerators, Air Conditioners,Televisions, and phones. Parking is included for 1 vehicle and 2 Beach Badges are provided for free beach access. Additional paid parking is available.Are rooms are very clean and spacious.

Reviewed By 885deefPoor service..… paid over $300 per night for supposedly best room open the door to the room and the blinds are all falling apart and broken the refrigerator had permanent stains all over it and the full kitchen the rug was torn the bathroom was horrible. Check in time is 4:00 PM but nobody was there when we arrive Was a tiny little 5 x 5 room where you check in there’s no lobby that I saw and just a pile of keys on the counter stuff strewn everywhere. Anytime you call the hotel phone number it just rings and rings if somebody doesn’t answer they’re not on the property and can’t help you when you ask for something. I will never stay in a motel again this appears to be a family owned low class no class motel operation. Do not stay here keep on searching for something better or a well-known chain hotel not a mom and pop owned place

Basic 1970's Mom and Pop Motel
Reviewed By kabberjoeOverall it is a decent place for a few nights stay. The room are adequate in size but the a/c is not sufficient to cool the room when the outside temp hits the 90's. The A?C is on the floor level less than 6 inches from the bed so the air never circulatess. The beds are HORRIBLE! Sealed in factory plastic so that everytime you move the crunching noise awakens you and talk about hot! In a room with limited cooling even with the a/c running nonstop at the coldest setting, the plastic makes getting a good night sleep impossible. Hot, sweaty, very thin mattress pad so no protection from the plastic. The pool is tiny but my grand daughter enjoyed it. Breakfast is VERY basic. Frozen mini bagels, one sugary package of muffins, cold cereal and coffee. The mini fridge did not get very cold even on the highest setting. Only 4 bent, old wire coat hangers were provided. The owner Mike is pleasant and hospitable but the motel is only average and could use some updates.

Clean room, close to the beach.
Reviewed By fueledbytravelMy room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I slept soundly through the whole night. There is a bar next door (which only was only really busy one night when I stayed) but once I went to bed I couldn’t hear anything and I never woke up til the morning. There was a microwave and a fridge in the room and it was very clean as well. The TV worked well and they had good channels. The location was awesome. We could walk everywhere. Parking for guest is included with the room, so no cost. We parked our car at the motel. It does have an outdoor pool, which was cute. The chairs outside of the room are a nice touch. My only complaint was that my bathroom tub was clogged. So when I showered the water was not draining… Also they have nowhere to hang towels in the bathrooms besides on the shower rod or on the toilet (which isn’t that most sanitary thing). Overall I think for a motel near the beach, it’s excellent. It’s not a five star establishment and does not advertise as such. It’s pretty basic and outside of the pool there are not any major amenities. But it’s clean, comfortable and close to the beach and major attractions in the area. It’s a good value for the location. What more can you ask for?

Reviewed By VingVingVingAbout the only thing positive I can say is that the location is good and the air conditioner is awesome. It's downhill from there. The three double bed room we stayed in had no chairs to sit in and no lamps. No ice available, and not even ice cube trays in the freezer. The bathroom is tiny. No space in bathroom to place toiletries. The blankets smelled bad and the undersides did not look clean at all. The sheets, however, were very clean so we slept without the blankets. The covers on the box springs, however, look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Will definitely never stay here again.

We didn't even make it to the room because of this and were told we could pay it in cash. Pool outside was really small. We chose to leave and find another location due to the unprofessionalism and absurd request to pay more than what we booked for. Found another location for cheaper than what we booked for that we clean, and right on the beach and the owners were amazing. DO NOT STAY HERE! Not a place for families for sure!
