Greggs has went downhill since it all changed. Food is overpriced and a lot smaller portions and service is not great either.

Had two chicken burgers and fries, with an ice blast. Have to say, for the size of portions and quality provided I think its very over priced and needs serious readjustment. We ordered take away, and though the burger/brioche bun is particularly full, it is small and the way it is presented by being wrapped in foil makes it look smaller also - not great for £5. The ice blasts they get away with over pricing because you can't get them anywhere else near, however if there was competition close by these would deplete in price pretty quickly. For flavoured ice its pretty extortionate. Had the sweet potato fries from here as well, both times had chips thr portions are small but the quality good. Like the decor inside; quite a rustic feel. Staff all going but seemingly eager and tentative to customers so no complaints. If prices become more reasonable I will certainly be back :)

We go here often usually for breakfast. It is a friendly cafe where the staff get to know the customers and their orders. The breakfast is the best in Irvine and so great value. Food is cooked individually with nothing being kept warm and dry. A greta friendly atmosphere for starting your day. I dont know about oter food but would expect the same standard as the breakfast. Highly recommend

Still cant fault this café---The meal deals are very good and great prices....Only one problem that happened yesterday---I paid contactless and asked for a receipt. The assistant said that I could not get a receipt...I asked why ,---She said that not all contactless transactions give receipts. I said that if other shops did not give receipts for goods ,that you had no proof of purchase and that's not correct...but did not agree with her explanation. I have checked with Barclaycard and below is there response-Should I give the customer a receipt for their Pay Tag transaction?Contactless receipts are optional, and you should provide one if the customer requests one. To print a customer receipt, tear off the merchant copy and press MENU to reprint. If your terminal doesn't give you a receipt option, press the 00 key at the READY prompt*. Make sure you do this before the next transaction. I hope this helps and the management can explain to there staff...

Went last night for a dinner. Ordered the sharing platter which was lovely (haggis croquettes, avocado bruschetta and ribs) then We ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, avocado sandwich and chorizo pizza. The pizza was lovely how we they didn’t advertise onions being on it on the menu so person who ordered couldn’t eat it. The avocado sandwich was amazing on granary type loaf but the white bread sandwich came on what I can only describe as Tesco white bread with virtually no cream cheese and a tonne of slimy salmon. Too disgusting to eat. They only serve wine in small glasses which doesn’t go very far. Waitress was lovely and the surroundings are lovely. Been for lunch loads but they really need to up their game.

With a wall of glass onto the river Irvine and Garnock this lovely cafe offers well priced high quality food and drinks. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff served drinks and sandwiches in double time. Worth a visit just to sit by the window and enjoy the view with an ice cream float. Thank you so much for your lovely review. It really means a lot to myself and the staff when people take the time to write a review especially when it is as positive as yours. I will pass on your comments to the staff. We certainly have the best view in Irvine, hope to see you again soon!
