The fish was very fresh and tasted great. Also the location is very good and staff is friendly and fast. Prices are absolutely reasonable. We enjoyed the meal a lot and would come again.

Wir hatten beide Scholle mit Bratkartoffeln. Der Fisch war ganz frisch und butterweich. Für 13,50 Euro gabs 3 Stück Fisch, Kartoffeln und Salat. Die Bedienung war freundlich und der Service schnell. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Zunächst: man ist ziemlich weg vom Trubel. Direkt hinterm Deich an der Spitze des Koogs gelegen ist das Möven-Kieker (welch ein Name!) ein besitzergeführtes gemütliches Hotel mit moderner Ausstattung in bester Lage. Zum "Ortskern" (na ja) geht man 10 Minuten, muss man aber nicht, weil man alles bekommt, was man braucht. Das gibts es Restaurant, wo diverse Fischplatten mit gebackenen Köstlichkeiten (unbedingt: die Platte mit Dijon-Senfsauce, gibts auch in klein) gereicht werden - mit einer schmackhaften Tomatensuppe als Appetizer und einem Nachtisch.Die Zimmer sind klein, aber fein alles drin, was mach braucht. Die Chefin ist von urban-lässiger Freundlichkeit und hat immer ein passendes Wort für die Gäste. Schade, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten. Der Ort lädt zum längeren Verweilen zum Ausflüge-Machen ins naturgeschützte Watt. Nach Büsum kann man rüberschauen, das genügt völlig ...

We waited exactly 49 minutes for three fish sandwiches and a fish soup. We checked for reference the arrivals dates given by google maps of our parked car! It took 15 minutes to order the rest of the time to wait for food. Service was unfriendly and unprofessional. Food was average. Invoice in photos as reference.

We visit family in Germany about once a year. A visit at Gila is an absolute "must" every time. The quality of the food is outstanding. This the best place to enjoy fresh fish.Very friendly service. Reasonably priced. Definitely recommended.

This didn't look like much when we pulled up but we were quite happy with the food - even if it took longer to get called than we had expected.The fish was very fresh and everyone enjoyed their meal. A good place for a lunch after the nearby seal station.

Maybe it was just me not choosing the right food, or maybe my family are less particular about what they eat, but found this place disappointing. OK, we were a party of 11 and hadnât booked and the only table was outdoors, which would have been nice on a less windy (it is on the North Sea) day, so maybe we were lucky to get something to eat! I chose local prawns .. they are teeny tiny fellaâs .. a house special .. and served with fried/sauté potatoes. It was tasteless & cold! Others in my party however thought otherwise and hovered them up! The kids dishes were all a decent size although the bolognese tasted like it had a packet mix in the sauce!The rice pudding for dessert seemed like a good prospect, I needed warning up at this stage as the wind had now started to chill us all! It was cold & duly returned, microwaved and returned barely any warmer! That rounded off my day!Itâs probably .. possibly .. lovely on a warm day!

The food was good, the prices weren't high, and they had alternatives to fish (allergies in the family).The beer garden was nice to sit in, and it's right beside the Dike, so a post-prandial stroll is easy.

Wir waren hier mit vier Freunden am Urlaubswochenende essen. Es gab Schnitzel, Putensteak, Folienkartoffel mit Lachs und Spiegelei mit Bratkartoffeln. Vorab Salat vom Buffet.Um es kurz zu machen: alles ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, man sollte nur Hunger mitbringen.Besonders erwähnenswert ist die super freundliche, familiäre Atmosphäre.

I thought the food was okay - the salad was a little basic and thus overpriced, but the steak and the wine were good. The staff were nice and accommodating so I can recommend it, but based on the reviewed we expected better.
