Reviewed By chrisrhea007Avocado Sunset USED to be our favourite place to stay. But although still nice, it has gone down hill, with the new owners Jilly and Mel - not the luxurious place it was. As we have stayed so many times (10 over the last decade) we thought we would write directly to the owners with some feedback eg Cold both in temperature and atmosphere plus breakfast was not very good and lots of other small comments. But to our surprise, basically they called us liars, as they must have been offended. So needless to stay we will not be recommending it to anyone or staying again.

Is it really wagyu beef that's served?
Reviewed By Wander68392238156We read the online reviews about the place and the quality of food and wine served at the restaurant and went with a positive vibe anticipating a fantastic lunch. Hence, each of us ordered a 2 course lunch with the wagyu steak for main... Lo and behold, not sure if that's really wagyu beef the restaurant had served. Minimal marbling and honestly tasted like a piece of normal steak which I usually cook at home. Wagyu beef is not uncommon for us and what was served, if its really wagyu in its true definition, did not make the cut at all.

Kitchen staff taking orders needed more training, she couldn't answer basic menu questions. With more training she would be great. Food was standard for pub/bistro. Servings large. Food came out fast. Needed more salad for the dressing. Lots and lots of dressing, salad was soaking. The view from windows of the hills is beautiful. Definitely a nice spot

Every room has been refurbished to include beautiful private ensuites, large screen TV's with Stan & Netflix availability, glass fronted mini fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and much more. The Guest lounge room & dining room have also been renovated

Reviewed By Maxie705Kelly and Tony are very friendly and hospitable hosts. The king room was modern, clean and comfortable. Free wifi, TV, and breakfast was great. Close wineries! Some nice surprises as well! Close to township of Canungra. A hidden little gem !

The Old Church B&B offers a perfect base for all wishing to explore the picturesque countryside surrounding Boonah. Built by locals back in the 1870's for the Milford community it has been lovingly restored to create a ideal weekend getaway. The Old Church has been extended to include 3 well appointed bedrooms that are warm and inviting with en-suites. French doors open onto a private balconies.

The hosts Christelle and Harry are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is, to say the least fantastic. There is no way could wreath all that was offered. We will definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By TrippyBee20Arrived in thre dark in the rain, so was a tad hard to find. Delightful surroundings, and birdsong in the morning. Noisy, nosey and frequently smoking neighbors prevented us from sitting outside, but we slept like logs and went exploring in the morning. Loved the little personal touches like chocs on the towels & all the info supplied. There was also bats in the garden.

Reviewed By neilm206By unusual I only mean that we normally don't holiday so close to home and activities and dining habits have to be adjusted in these new times. The accomodation is a little dated but the hosts more than make up for that, they are engaging with interesting conversation and if you elect to have breakfast included you won't be hungry until dinner time. Facilities are good, location means a little driving although there is a service available which we didn't use that would take you to local restaurants and return you home. Room is well equipped with all the information you need to enjoy 2/3/4 nights away. TYVM

Reviewed By giacomina17Really didn't know anything about this place when we booked. Welcoming staff. Room was spacious, clean and warm. View when we stepped out our back door was totally incredible!! Would happily return here. Great little pop-up French deli down the drive on certain days and right next door to St. Bernard's Hotel so food was never an issue.

Bathroom and spa bath were spotless, heaps of clean towels plus bath robes with freshly laundered sheets on a super comfy king bed. Our room was so private and luxeruous, and staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will definitely be be back in the future.

Reviewed By ruthpV2211IVWe totally loved our stay at Mt Tambourine B&B. The cottage was lovely, private, comfortable and very clean. The view from the deck is outstandingly beautiful, any time of the day. We loved watching the birds that visited the tree next to the deck. The gardens are really neat and a feast of colour & variety. The owners Jacqui & Simon are very friendly & it was a pleasure chatting with them. Simon cooks up a very tastey breakfast & great coffee. We highly recommend staying at this B&B.
