Am oberen Orstrand gelegen, gibt es mit etwas Glück (Plätze in den Türmchen!) auch noch sehr schöne Blicke in die idyllische Landschaft dazu. Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft, und das Ganze wird dann durch den freundlichen Service abgerundet. Regionale Küche dominiert die Speisekarte, und das ist wahrlich kein Makel!Man muss keine prophetischen Gaben um zu vermuten, dass sich während der Saisonzeiten eine Vorbestellung empfiehlt ... denn wenn schon bei Ekelwetter die Plätze gut ausgebucht sind ...

Zum wiederholten Male kehrten wir im "Kozabar" ein. Und wir möchten hervorheben, dass das Team seit Jahren eine gleichbleibend hohe Qualität bietet. Preise und Leistung stehen in einem unschlagbaren Verhältnis. Wann immer im deutschen Grenzgebiet Gaststätten aus unerfindlichen Gründen geschlossen sind: Auf den "Kozabar" ist Verlass. Weiter so! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wenn Oberbayern als Vogtlandurlauber im Elstergebirge im traditionsreichen Alpenhof landen, hat das schon einen gewissen Reiz. Der Wirt bediente persönlich und kann auch Alphorn blasen. Das Hotel scheint sehr reizvoll zu sein. Aber angereist aus Bad Brambach haben wir (leider) nur zu Abend gegessen. Das allerdings war hervorragend! Knoblauchsuppe und Gänsebrust vom Feinsten! Das Ambiente ist (zum Glück) nicht alpenländisch, sondern echt vogtländisch. Wunderbare Wohlfühlatmosphäre und nur wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Diese Gaststätte ist im Bereich des Freilichtmuseum und auch Teil dessen angesiedelt. Es ist sehr gemütlich und auch die Gastfreundlichkeit ist hervorzuheben.Die Portionen sehr reichlich.

The "Waldhotel Restaurant" is attached to the hotel. Exzellent parking, very nice tall guest room surrounded by the forest.Friendly and fast service. Food style is mostly German and well prepared. Prices are at a very fair level.This is a good place for families and larger groups to have a meal.

Me and my wife visited Klingenthal during our honeymoon trip and we stayed 2 nights @ Gasthof zum Döhlerwald. Really nice place and the people there are so kind and lovely, that it was kind of hard for us to leave. And that food. Yeah... About that. Its excellent! Had Wikinger-Schnitzel there and its by far the best Schnitzel I ever had.Our room was also nice, big and very comfort.Had sauna also and it was great!We recommend it!

Waren im Mai 2x in diesem Restaurant, was auch Hotel ist.Einmal zum Kaffee trinken mit selbst gebackenen Kuchen und leckerem Eis. Wir saÃen jeweils drauÃen. Dann zum Abendessen. Wir hatten zu viert alle unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt und alle waren vorzüglich, ein Gaumenschmaus und auch sehr schön angerichtet. (Rostbrätel mit Bratkartoffeln, Spargel, Lachsfiletvorab kalt geräuchert an SpinatsoÃe, Tagliarini und Kräuterbutter sowie Scholle mit Kartoffelstampf.) Hervorzuheben ist das Ambiente im Innenhof mit vielen Pflanzen, urgemütlich und natürlich auch die Freundlichkeit des Personals/Chefin. Man kann sagen das man für Mittelklasse-Preise eine gehobene Küche bekommt!

An der Auerbacher - Str. befindet das Gasthaus , sehr gutes Essen nett angerichtet , angenehme Atmosphäre .Tagesgerichte werden angeboten , jeder Klingenthaler -Besucher sollte die " Drogerie " einmal aufsuchen .

Ok here's a very sweet day trip if youre in Saxony Germany.We departed from Zwickau railway station which shows that typical DDR type design, nonetheless the diesel train was modern and great. We headed out through the townships, nature reserves and farmland to Klingenthal which is the township for the highly recommended Zur Alten Schulz restuarant. Ok here's something different for Australians.... you can drink on the train so to my surprise out comes the beers wine and schnaps and everybody is amazingly social and friendly. Its the moderation. Train is comfortable with great seating and big windows for sightseeing. The trip from Zwickau. Was 70+ minutes but very enjoyable. A small walk after disembarking and you see the towns cathedral and then the restuarant which is over 100 years old and is of typical timber alpine construction. Raw cuts on big timber but refined window carpentry. The food is rural ie... promoted wild pig is offered along with very tasty standard "country" menu. Its warm, its fun, its good food and the train ride is really a relax with more drinks.Seriously if you are looking for a day trip with friends and family and very congenial local travellers then I recommend it. The photos decorating the walls of the restuarant with class photos from the early period are very interesting.Obviously the restuarant is children friendly with colouring books etc provided when required,CheersRobbee
