We had a wonderful experience here. Our meals were delicious and our server was absolutely delightful. Yes, expensive, but so worth it. The steaks were just right and the sides to share were generous and delicious. We sat on the patio and had plenty of room. It started to rain so they were moving everyone inside and that got a little chaotic. But no big deal. Would love to visit again.

This little place never disappoints. All our menu selections were well prepared, well presented, and best of all pleasantly and knowledgeably served . Plenty to choose from on the wine list and a low key vibe overall of casual competency that's just right for a nice night out.

You would not think so looking from outside but this is a very nice dining experience nestled inside a good bar. The hamburgers are so very good. French fries also a tasty treat. Give Phil's a try, you won't be disappointed.

We have eaten here many times before and are never disappointed. Our server's name was "Steph" and she was wonderful, bubbly and really made the dinner. We had tapas which consisted of calamari, (with an incredible sauce), humus and soup. All were excellent.

We love walking into Kilwin's and taking that first inhalation of sugery goodness! No trip to Saugatuck is complete until we have made the pilgrimage and procured one of their handmade fudges. They also serve ice cream and it goes down pretty well on those hot (or cold) days!

I had the honor of Eatting at Hercules solo for dinner. I had the fresh perch dinner which was incredible. My waiter was a lovely man, picture Jack LaLane in his youth, with a perfect tan. He recommended my dinner choice and his wife also made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Farmhouse Deli & Pantry

Reviewed By Opinion8ted - Saugatuck, Michigan

Since we live near Douglas, I frequently pick up lunch at Farmhouse and often buy their salads, desserts and cheeses to supplement meals I am preparing myself. This is farm to table casual, with a nice selection of specialty foods in the capacious refrigerator cases and shelves to make for fun browsing while waiting for your sandwich. There is limited outside seating and a fun, farmhouse-like inside dining area. I am going to rave once again about the pork bahn mi and the cubano sandwiches. They are fab. If they have pieces of chocolate cake for sale, that's a must for dessert. Cheese selection is lovely and the soups are always interesting. It can appear a bit hectic, but the staff have come a long way in organizing and taking orders. Off season, check the hours.

Saugatuck Drugstore Soda Fountain

This Old Fashioned Soda Fountain is a staple for locals in Saugatuck. It has been here since 1913. It is in the back of the drug store. Coincidentally, kiddie-corner to Kilwins. What is great about this soda fountain, is that they do make old-fashioned sodas with heaps of ice-cream - and local Hudsonville Ice-Cream. Even better, this is a hidden gem for families in this ever-so growing, expensive tourist town (I am from nearby Grand Rapids....and FYI...the reason I had so many reviews last year, I took a year off to explore my #1 passion -traveling- from my real job (litigation); so if you would like an attorney turned writer/traveler/reviewer, I would be a great fit. But why it is a hidden gem for families: the Soda Fountain has hot dogs, fries, small $3 pizzas, pretzels - all the small stuff little kids love and that would make them happy after a hot day on the boat or at the beach, along with a small ice-cream cone or old-fashioned root-beer float. It's a great place.

Almost missed the Soda Fountain. Happened to wander through the store and, lo and behold, there was Hudsonville Ice Cream being sold. Every time we go to Michigan to see family we seek out Hudsonville Ice Cream. The Cherry chocolate chip is the best!

Marro's Italian Restaurant

Reviewed By Jerry M - Saint Marys, Ohio

Marro's is a wonderful Italian restaurant that is very busy in the high season and does not take reservations.

Service, food, atmosphere, and wine, were excellent. There is a large menu and the wine list is extensive. The wait staff provided wonderful service and the food was fantastic. Whenever we're near Saugatuck we will be eating at Marro's.

The prices are moderate and the servings of food are good-sized. There was an older gentleman playing piano and playing old standards. It really added to the atmosphere.
