We ate there 4 times. Each time was lovely. The wait staff was patient & helpful as we had difficulty translating the menu. The outdoor Seating was quite nice. We enjoyed to good weather sitting there having a beer with a great meal. Evening we enjoyed the inside because of the great bar and friendly locals.

Strandcafe & Restaurant Sassnitz

This cafe belongs to the Strandhotel. The interior is nicely decorated compared to some others and they have a nice selection of cakes (but not the best selection in Sassnitz). In summer, there are tables out on the waterfront. It is located at the quieter end of Sassnitz in the old town.

We had "Brathering sour", red wine and beer after we had waited for about 15 minutes until one of the not very clean looking waiters came and I have to say, we will never go back to this place evnethough food was tasty.
It seemed that nobody is looking after a nice touch that gives the guest a feeling of WELCOME. Everything was just like it was and that was it.
Please, do not go there and spend your money somewhere else...

Cafe Peters Fahrhafen Mukran

This cafe on the seafront is a highlight of the cafe culture of Pomerania. Light-flooded rooms, a spacious Thus nnenterrasse and the unique view of the Baltic make this cafe so special. Look at the cruise ships and Ferries arriving in and departing to or let your gaze wander into the Bay of Binz. The glass bakery provides interesting insights - as you can watch the bakers at night directly at work. A visit to Mukran is thus unique beauty. The cafe is located directly on the L29 between Sassnitz and Binz. The parking lot is located directly in front of it.

After checking into our hotel we immediately came here for dinner. Inside it gives you the feel of a good tavern, with plenty of seats and a great atmosphere. The staff was very helpful even though they didn't know a lot of English with great service bringing drinks right when we needed them. We ordered the fish & chips, and outside of English territory, this was the best fish & chips I've eaten. There was great flavor in the fish, and the batter provided just enough texture to make it amazing.
If you're in Sassnitz you can't go wrong stopping here.

Wonderful Kuchen just steps away from the sea! Eat indoors or outdoors. Locals assured me this is tops in Sassnitz for the baking, but enjoying a beer out on the patio on a sunny afternoon is pretty fine too. One could lose track of time here, between the sweets, the suds, and the sea.

This restaurant was not a welcoming place. The staff were rude and deliberately made us wait for our food to be served. Never have I been treated so unkindly. I would not recommend this place at all. Food was of poor quality and taste. It is too bad as they have a beautiful location in the Sassnitz harbour...I cannot rate it as it was so bad...

Family run restaurant specialties Pasta Handmade

Reviewed By GLSI - Varese, Italy

Enjoyed a very good dinner at "La Bella Vita", we were starving for some good pasta dishes and we found them there. Started with good soups, literally devoured a carbonara and tagliatelle with spinach (that came with salmon on top). Drinks were ok, coffee was a real italian one, ended with the famous italian grappa (grapevine) liquor served with a chololate. Recommended (from an italian). Service was very good, as the price.

Baumhaus Hagen

Reviewed By Jamesfood - Geneva, Switzerland

The Baumhaus is not only a restaurant but also a hotel located in the national park next to the Königsstuhl viewpoint. We had lunch here: I had the cod with potatoes and veggies and it was perfect, my wife had venison (local deer) on a brown sauce which was not good. The sauce had no taste and also the meet was not the way it should be. The furnishing of the restaurant is very cozy.
