Surprisingly good budget hotel
Reviewed By kevinfffA real no frills experience, arrived late and no reception but there was a computer system to follow instructions to get our room access key number. The room was spacious and modern, with controllable air conditioning and a nice bathroom with no frills. It is set in an industrial/retail area out of town but we took advantage of looking around the Geant supermarket. Overall a good quality sleep and a great one night stopover

The connexion Wi-fi is very good, the TV is nice and the services are ok. Just Covid-19 is a pity for the world and make stay a little bit difficult everywhere.

Reviewed By dg20222022Stayed a few days. Okay for the price. Extremely dirty stairs, no cleaning under bed (found old cigarettes from latest guests.. ) not enough toilet paper or soap available. Not all equipment work in room. Bed uncomfortable. Yet, affordable. Some of the staff is very kind (others are barely doing the job...) the cleaning staff is kind. No good sound insulation but okayish with relatively quiet neighbours.

Basic budget hotel, not as cheap as it should be
Reviewed By Thomas PThis hotel is very basic. The room supposedly slept 4 people but it was a squeeze for 4. The aircon did not work; it was very hot weather in late june so it was oppressively hot in the bedroom. The shower was small, the toilet seat was broken. The bed was ok, but overall this is a very basic budget hotel without the expected low rates. We paid extra for breakfast which was nice and good value, and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a restricted mobility room, with a tiny shower pane, and the bathroom completely flooded when we both used it. Mentioned it at reception, and they were 'aware' of the problem.

Nous sommes au calme avec un petit jardin dans lequel le client peut prendre le petit déjeuner ou boire un verre. Facile d'accès et un parking gratuit privé surveillé. Petit déjeuner avec nos produits locaux et certain maison (confitures, yaourts et brioche). Les soirs de semaine, nous proposons un service de plateaux repas de qualité avec des plats chauds réalisés par un traiteur stéphanois. Nous pouvons également vous conseiller un restaurant dans le quartier. The family hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, you can sit down on our terrace in front of our garden to have breakfast or a drink. Our rooms are comfortable and shiny as they have big windows and some of them have even a balcony. It is next to the motorway with easy access and private free parking. During the week, we can propose you for dinner mealtrays made by a famous ceterer of Saint Etienne, otherwise we can advise you some restaurants which are next to the hotel.

Reviewed By ffotterThe hotel is run by a French/Dutch couple who recently took over management of the hotel. We stayed there for two nights and we had a very good time. The rooms are clean, spacious enough and the beds are comfy. We were well rested to visit Sainte Etienne and got some good tips on where to eat and what to do. They also do a nice breakfast, which you can take in the garden (unfortunately it was raining those mornings).

Reviewed By Christine HThe hotel room was very clean but like the other reviewer there were no instructions for the heating but it was not too cold. It states free wifi but you have to return to reception for a voucher which I think should be explained when checking in. Also it is only up until midnight??We had the dish of the day in the restaurant and both had the steak. I could not eat it, it was raw, chewy the cheapest cut of meat imaginable along with potato gratin which was not fresh probably a couple of days old. The salad for starter however was nice so did not starve! The breakfast was very good value for money with great choice.The staff were all friendly. I have always looked for Ibis hotels when travelling but will now try others in the future.

Reviewed By williamc811 coffee sachet and 1 tea sachet. No cups paper or porcelain. Plastic cup melted as I poured hot water. Bath/shower tap difficult to turn. When turned 3 insects appeared. Tissue dispenser on the wall in the toilet was empty. Hotel was devoid of any facilities - no lounge. An unhappy stay
