Rustenburg (/ˈrʌstɪnbɜːrɡ/; Afrikaans pronunciation: [ˈrœstənbœrχ], Afrikaans and Dutch: Town of Rest) is a city at the foot of the Magaliesberg mountain range in North West Province of South Africa. It was one of the official host cities of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, being in close proximity to Phokeng, the capital of the Royal Bafokeng Nation, where the Royal Bafokeng Stadium is located. The England national football team also used this as their base camp for the tournament.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Prices reasonable. Wine list is good for a non-wine district. Love the new revamp and interior. We sat on the balcony which was quite quiet. Outside Seating is lovely and rather popular. Something for everyone on the menu.

This is a great restaurant if you are looking for authentic German beer and food. The views over the Olifantsnek dam make for pleasant surroundings and the restaurant is well set out. We visit regularly and have recently discovered the beer battered hake dish which is simply delicious (not very German I don’t think). Waiters a little lacking but, with a little patience, workable.

Extensive choices with great service. The vegetarian options were good and the pasta bar a nice touch. Dessert options were wide (including jelly beans and tots) and looked delicious. A nice touch was the complimentary pizza we received.

Great cold beer, yet everything else just ok - calamari, mushrooms and tuna salad all good - nothing bad yet nothing great either - maybe I expected more due to high ranking and other comments - would go back yet also nothing greatly excited about? Maybe got to be a Friday in summer rather?

We had breakfast there and the manager on duty was Benjamin. Was en route to Pretoria and decided to have a quick breakie at this restaurant. Atmosphere inviting and the staff very friendly. Did not want anything heavy and got what a really wanted. Food well prepared and service prompt.

We ordered Take aways. When unpacking the bag it did not have mealie which was ordered and paid for my son had the kiddies meal, in excitement he took a bite of his mealie wheel that he got with his chicken strips and salad and he started to cry (he is 3) because it was spicy. When i tasted it, my mouth burnt!!! For some reason peri peri sauce was on a kids meal mealie??? When i went to complain i was given the missing mealie and my sons mealies were replaced at least. The roast veg were also more of a tomatoey vegetable stew....nit roast veg!

It is not often that a fast food establishment has staff that react with real professional pride! This week, the cashier at our local nando's did not only take our order, but when there was a delay in the kitchen, she also came to each patron and made sure we were informed. The food was tasty and what we expected, but the care taken really impressed us
