I visit this restaurant regularly for businessdiners with clients and every time it is fantastic. The food is excellent and well presented. The service is great. Jean-Marie who serves the food and wine does this with charm and professonalisme. Nice atmosphere hidden accross the trainstation.
Great restaurant which I will certainly visit again in the future.

This restaurant is a very classic french styled bistrot right across from the city hall in Roubaix. My guest had escargots and the andouillette while I had the parma ham appetizers followed by a duck confit cassoulet. The cassoulet was astonishing! The wine of the day was a great value at 23 euros for the bottle. The owner / chef walks the floor and talks with people. He was very friendly and seemed to really care about what we thought of the food.

we stumbled across this restaurant on a Saturday night around 8pm. We had no reservation but were immediately seated ( 3 adults) even though the restaurant was very busy. As we were non French speaking English people we had the menu (which is presented on a large chalkboard brought to the table) patiently explained to us. The food was served quite quickly, but not too quickly that you thought it was pre prepared, we had the feeling the food was freshly prepared for each customer. The food was absolutely delicious, from memory I had the mixed cold meat starter, the Lamb for main course and the mixed desert. Each course was delicious and ample. The lamb was gorgeous, and I can particularly recommend the mixed desert, it was absolutely beautiful, and very good value for money. The service was excellent, and even though we were foreigners we were made to feel very welcome. The owner himself served us, he was busy all night taking and serving orders. At the end of the night we were treated to a complimentary glass of Limoncello and Grappa, which was a lovely touch. When we are working in Tourcoing again we will definitely revisit this great restaurant.

We found this restaurant by chance. The food was fantastic, the cocktail was pretty awesome (no ice hence very strong!) and the atmosphere was lovely. The only problem is the staff there do not speak much English so we had to rely on our limited understanding of French to study the menu and then point at whatever we thought might be nice to have. We had a great time and the bill was not bad at all (around 35 euros: two cocktails, one starter and two main courses, we were too full to have pudding). We left at around 9:30p.m. and it was very busy then. Would recommend people to either get there early or book a table in advance (if you speak French that is!).

What a great place! Despite me turning up 15 mins before opening time (7pm), I was given a warm welcome from all the staff and sat down with an aperetif and complimentary bread & cold meats. There is a great choice on the menu, with lots of typically french food, as well as salads, burgers & fish. I chose rump steak with a glass of their recommended wine, followed by a red berry clafoutis. Delicious! The prices are also very reasonable. This is a must for anyone wanting an extremely tasty meal at a decent price!

Booked on line through the fork. Easy and effective. Atmosphere and food were excellent. Timothee ( Maître De) was first class and made sure it was a great night from start to finish.

We were seven, we all had couscous royal. Food was really delicious and server was extremely nice.
We had different desserts and we all appreciated what we had, I'd recommend the dame Blanche.
We ended with tea and I had a Coke.
30 euros per person. Reasonable given the service and portions we had.
I would certainly go back.

Thanks to the reviews on Tripadvisor we knew just where to go for lunch in Roubaix and it did not disappoint. Excellent, very tasty food for a very reasonable price (15 Euros for 2 courses), served by friendly staff ~ ticked all the boxes for us! The cheesecake deserves a special mention for being one of the best desserts I have eaten all year.
It might look a little unlikely from the outside but Baraka is well worth a trip, especially if you are headed for the La Piscine museum as it is very close by.
