My teenage son and I recently visited our first In-N-Out Burger while travelling. Although it was good, I found it no better or worse than Five Guys, or other burger places. We each had a burger, fries and shake. Decent value for the money.

My husband ordered the crab and kept repeating, “This is the best crab I have ever had.” That is saying a lot as we usually seek out Michelin rated restaurants when traveling. My fish fillet with basil was also very aromatic and delicious! Can’t wait to return! In the end, it was Memorable!

The Hat

Everyone should visit the Hat. They have several locations in the San Gabriel Valley, and this store is close to home. Great simple menu, location, and cleanliness. They are always cleaning and keeping up the place. Pastrami is their flagship, but I like the dips, sandwiches and chili cheese burgers.

Also- having a big pot of Chilis on the counter always a plus!

This cafe and gourmet shop is like something straight out of France. Absolutely beautiful inside, with unique gift items, pates, pastries, chocolates, cheeses and other delicacies. The cafe looks like a room in a French chateau. Unfortunately we arrived less than an hour before closing, so the cafe part was already closed. The two gentlemen at the counter were incredibly kind, encouraging us to sit at the outside tables and providing us with everything needed to enjoy pate, crackers and dessert. They even opened the pate for us and provided extra wrapping so we could take the leftover home. They truly went above and beyond! Everything was delicious, including the cafe au lait and cappuccino. This cafe is a treasure!

DI Pilla's Italian Restaurant

Reviewed By Creeping_Death_LA - Los Angeles, California

We arrived on a Sunday evening around 830pm no waiting at all, we were seated by the friendly hostess. We asked the friendly waitress what's their specialty dish and she said the Bowties Di Pilla which we ordered. We also ordered a 12 inch mushroom pizza with your choice of canned or fresh mushroom, we went with the fresh mushroom. They brought warm bread to our table which was very fresh and tasty when dipped in the olive oil. We didn't wait long and when we tasted the food it was really good and the pizza had plenty of cheese and the perfect amount of mushrooms. For dessert they recommended the Spumoni ice cream cake which was really good too. Family owned and family friendly.

Now many of the ramen joints have expanded eastward, because many of its demographics reside in these areas and obviously, it is a pain to get to Little Tokyo for lunch. This SSG is right in the heart of Asiantown, but its appeal is beyond just the Asian foodies and what not. Make sure to get extra noodles, its worth it.

This is a small, unassuming Mexican joint in an old bank. Staff are very friendly and efficient, and the Tuesday-Friday lunch specials offer good value.

I had the fish tacos, which were tasty and the portion was plentiful. The usual sides - rice and refried beans.

A solid place for a quick lunch/dinner.

888 Sea Food Restaurant

We just had dinner at 888 Seafood Restaurant to celebrate Moon Festival with friends and family. The restaurant is very spacious and there is a banquet room great for hosting wedding reception. Food here is not bad. Staff are friendly. The reason I rank it average is because they use MSG in their food. I can feel the pulling sensation and pressure on my face and neck after eating some of the dishes or soup. Perhaps you can ask them not to put MSG before ordering. My family and friends seem to be ok with that. Big parking lot in front of the restaurant.

The lobster dishes at this restaurant was so good that it deserves returned visits. We had their House Special Lobster and Fillet of Fish dishes. The price of the lobster dish was charged by their size, their weight by lb. In my opinion, the dish was well worth the price. Our lobster was over 4 lbs. The lobster was cooked just right. The meat was moist and with full flavor. The dish must be ordered with noodles under the lobster meat. The noodles absorbed all the lobster flavor and other seasoning. You will not leave any not eaten. The fillet of fish was also good.

Sea Harbour

Reviewed By Francis P - Walnut, California

We read about this restaurant in a local newspaper and decided to try it. The food was good, but the prices were a lot more than the typical dimsum restaurants, about double the normal. We ordered 5 different dishes, 4 dimsum and 1 vegetable. The 4-season bean dish was not good. The beans tasted old and was a little overcooked. One of the dimsum dish, a fried shrimp dumpling, was very good. It tasted different than others, very soft and with a crispy bite. Another, the barbeque pork rice noodle roll was also very tasty and full of ingredients. The other two were just average. I must say that their services were excellent, The staff were very attentive and polite.
