Nice ambience, spotlessly clean ( toilets are soo nice and clean),friendly helpful staff ,tasty food,shows all the premier league games and most importantly the spirit s are of a high quality and after a couple of rum and cokes you knew you'd had a drink. Beware some bars where the drinks aren't particularly cheaper but the spirits are nowhere near as potent

We were fortunate to get a table without a reservation when we decided to visit Rib & Reef, securing the only one available at the time. People arriving soon after us were turned away so reservations are recommended.We came especially for the seafood platter - and we weren't dissapointed. The platter was enough for two of us along with a side of fries. It consisted of crayfish, prawns, mussels and white fish . All fresh and very tasty, but unfortunately our fries didn't come out with the food. The restuarant was incredibly busy and service reflected the fact. It was still a very enjoyable meal and I also enjoyed one of the speciality cocktails.

I have been there on several occasions with friends and business partners. I love this place because of the quality of service and the various and delicious choice available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always above expectations.. The gentleman that serviced us didn't know a thing. We wanted to know what a beer cost, he said about 150R, what a ripoff the 5star hotels charge that and that's with a view...I ordered a chocolate milkshake (95R) didn't have chocolate only vanilla. There is a Shoprite next door to them!!! The milkshake arrived in a plastic container, it was very watery no ice cream in it at all. No good at all. Will not go back!!!

We had a dissapointing meal at ENSO on what was a wet Sunday. The restaurant was very quiet which made the slow service inexcusable. Despite ordering food and drinks at the same time, the food came before the drinks, which was incredible, especially as they came in a bottle and just needed bringing to the table.As for the food, I went for the wasabi chicken burger and my husband went for fish in a sauce. The tuna burger was tasty with a wasabi kick. But for some reason the tuna was cut into pieces, which meant that it pieces kept falling out of the bun and meant that the sauce went everywhere. I got through too many napkins. The chips that came with the burger were incredibly salty - I wiped the salt off every single one of them before eating. Unfortunately, my husband didn't enjoy his fish which came in some weird sauce. It just didn't work together he said.

A friend of ours recommended this restaurant. Speciality of the house: Barbecue Spare Ribs. Highly recommended. We had an excellent Rib Eye Steak and a tasteful red wine. Attentive service and reasonable prices.

Yesterday was my day out and was excited to be visiting the Rhumerie (which was excellent), but also to be eating at LâAlchimiste as it had good reviews. Sadly this was a huge disappointment. We ordered 3 main courses and 1 childrens meal. The childrens meal was the only one that was warm. My husband and eldest son ate theirs as they were so hungry, but I returned mine as it wasnât just cold, it was as if it had come straight out of the fridge. The purees around the pork had a crust on top which indicated it was not freshly made. Sadly the replacement meal was a repeat of the first...this time the centre of the pork was tepid and the outer cold. I returned the 2nd meal as inedible. It was disappointing that the chef did not come out to apologise which would have been the right thing to do. Instead our lovely waiter was left to the embarrassment of having to return the meals. I couldnât believe it when they then tried to charge us for a meal that they had given to me cold...twice. Thanks to the waiter who did remove it when I said I would not pay for a meal that wasnât just cold...it was stone cold. So the day out I had looked forward to for 3 weeks was a big disappointment. I left hungry and sad that a restaurant thought it ok to serve cold food. I will not return.
