I discovered this restaurant while staying at the nearby Hampton Inn. I didn't expect much given the quiet neighborhood and proximity to the hotel (essentially located on the retail, or street, level of the same building). What a pleasant surprise! Seating options include the outdoor patio, a mid-restaurant dining area leading into the bar. I was seated in the bar, next to an expansive wall of windows. Since, my Spanish language skills are limited, Sarah, an incredibly gracious host, patiently interpreted the entire menu for me, recommending several Medellin specialties. I ordered the shrimp entree that she suggested. Excellent choice! Five large shrimp cooked perfectly and balanced on a flavorful, tomato-based sauce. I added a Coke and closed out with a cappuccino, all for under $20. I would recommend San Carbon for any occasion. The Staff were amazing, the food fantastic, and the live music made the night perfect.It is a little pricey, but well worth the extra expense for the ambience.We ordered Chinchalines, Churasco, rum, and wine. Every think was cooked to perfection.

Very nice people, great service, decent wine offering but food was just average. The Queso Asado was interesting but would be better with a savory sauce option rather than a sweet sauce. The Las Tres Uno salad with grilled chicken was much too simple a dish, especially when compared to what other restaurants in neighborhood serve. While the preparation and appearance of the beef was good the quality of the local beef was average at best.Not sure what is behind all the great reviews, perhaps their imported beef offering? In any case with restaurants such as Lucio just around the corner, there aren't enough reasons to make Las Tres Uno your first choice.

PROS: My family brought me here for my b-day and I really enjoyed it. This isn't your typical Colombian restaurant. It's picnic style, so you sit on a blanket in a well-kept grassy area with an umbrella for shade.The food is chopped up and eaten with toothpicks. My two favorite items were the fried cheese and sausage. Had to order a second round of those.CONS: Sitting on the ground too long can get uncomfortable. And if there's no room for you under the shade, you could be in trouble on an extremely sunny day.Hello!, We really appreciate your review, we are glad to know that you had a good time and celebrated your birthday with us. We understand that, sometimes, spending a lot of time on a picnic cloth might get uncomfortable. As an alternative, we offer chairs near the picnic setting and we also have picnic-style tables in an indoor space. I went with three friends last week. We arrived and had really good cocktails. The servers were so friendly and fun. The food arrived and I was more than happy. The steaks were delicious. There was a slight delay with one of our entrees and the restaurant comped our desserts and coffee for the delay. I would suggest you go to this restaurant anytime you are in Medellin if you want a really god casual dinner with wonderful staff.

This is a hidden gem with delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. The steak was perfectly cooked with unique sides like American potatoes which included pickles and smoked bacon. They have a tomahawk steak that I would highly recommend.We appreciate the time it took to tell us your experience and give us a good rating. Tonight I went with my family to Toro restraurnt. I highly highly recommend this restruant. Safe neighbourhood, lots of people around. And the steak was just amazing and I am a picky eater. Plus our waiter knew some english which helped a lot with the menu. Such a nice guy! Plus fantastic prices for steak!
