The Sundog Cafe is located on a terrace out to the lake. Established by a gal from Alaska, it is kind of a freak center with all kind of alternative travellers. Food is excellent, with Pizza from the wood stove as special and the daily menue a real good catch and great value vor money. All together an easy going place to hang out away from the dirty and noisy main road.

The restaurant is located a couple of miles from the Castle of San Felipe on the river. The restaurant has a full bar and free Wi Fi. The food was good. The fried bananas were very good. The service was good and the prices are reasonable.

Je me suis retrouvée chez Delicias del Rio uniquement parce que j'avais 2h30 à tuer pour attendre une lancha.Le restaurant est situé juste à côté et sa terrasse offre des tables avec vue sur la rivière, plutôt sympa.J'ai pris des quesadillas au poulet et un jus d'hibiscus. Pas mal du tout, le tout pour à peu près 5 euros.Le personnel, comme bien souvent au Guatemala, ne sera venue que pour ma commande. Après on a l impression qu'ils disparaissent... obligé de me lever pour aller payer, bien entendu jamais de monnaie donc obligé d'attendre. Au début du séjour on s'en amuse, à la fin on en a marre de ce manque de respect.

Pretty location and good food with attentive service. Nearby the public launch but not right on it. We've enjoyed big breakfasts and lunch here watching the traffic on the river. It's nice to be away from the hectic main street!
